Luke's Surprise

Is true love with your soul mate worth risking your life for?

When werewolf Luke Morgan runs a simple errand with his brother Kelan, the last thing he expects to find at their neighbour's ranch is his soul mate. The incredibly sexy ranch foreman Mark Malone is every gay man's fantasy. The only problem? Neither Luke nor Mark are gay.

Unable to deny the attraction they feel for one another, they decide to try and make things work between them. The relationship at first seems all they could hope for but trouble in the guise of Ethan Walker, a werewolf who has his sights set on Luke, threatens to destroy their newfound happiness and the future they have planned together.

When Ethan's threats turn to physical violence, will they still think the mating bond and blossoming love between them is worth risking their lives for?

Cody's Revelation

What happens when a werewolf meets his mate, only to discover the man he has waited his life for already belongs to someone else?

Werewolf Cody Morgan is summoned home from New York to Texas by his elder brother and alpha Kelan, and immediately knows that visiting alpha Stefan Drake is his soul mate. However, Cody's newfound happiness is short-lived after he discovers Stefan has a wife and son. Cody's life becomes further complicated when Stefan's brother-in-law shows up and challenges Stefan's position as alpha. Are there too many obstacles to overcome or is true love worth taking a chance on?

Fair warning, there may be some spoilers. I did enjoy this book but there were a few things that I had problems with. I have an issue with the alphas in this book and I'm going to guess the series too. An alpha is suppose to be the law. The "King" for lack of a better word. He has THE final say in everything that happens with his pack. Yes he might have a council of elders to help advise him but he has the final say. No alpha would let a council of other were have that much say in his packs business. That and if there was something as big as a challenge for an alpha position happening on another alphas territory the alpha of that territory would be all up in that business. Kelan and Stefan don't come off as "alpha" were to me. My other issue is the lack of respect shown to a true mate or soul mate. If there is even a slight chance that a were could find a true mate no other were is going to force them to marry someone who is not their true mate. Also they are NOT property to be won if an alpha were to loose a challenge. They are the other half of that were! You only get one and to call them property is showing a lack of respect for that position. And I can' t see fate or destiny giving an alpha a weak mate. Cody kind of comes off that way a little bit. In my opinion an alpha's mate should be able to beat most anyone else from that pack in a fight. Also an alpha's son, especially an oldest son should not come off as weak as Aaron did. He is 19 and if his biological father had lived he may be the new alpha now if something had happened to his father. Just throwing out my two cents.

I loved this book! The characters were really great - Luke and Mark were so sweet together and I really loved Kelan! The story was suspensful and flowed smoothly and the twist at the end was great, I never saw it coming! Very promissing start to a series.
