About the Author

R. J. PALACIO lives in NYC with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. For more than twenty years, she was an art director and graphic designer, designing book jackets for other people while waiting for the perfect time in her life to start writing her own novel. But one day several years ago, a chance encounter with an extraordinary child in front of an ice cream store made R. J. realize that the perfect time to write that novel had finally come. Wonder is her first novel. She did not design the cover, but she sure does love it.

I just read this book because I love the story Wonder. It was very entertaining and really made you fall in love with Ximena, Summer, and Charlotte even more. Not everyone is really the type of person you think. This book gives you the satisfaction of another persons point of view, and really helps you get to know Charlotte in a new and improved way. Even though it isnt QUITE touching as Wonder, it certainly has many good lessons and makes you happy for all the characters.

I have truly enjoyed this series of books. This book did not expand the Auggie story but gave more depth to the girls at Beecher prep. As a teacher I think this book and the others are a great starting point for discussions on student perspectives of friendship, cliques and life changes of 4th-6th graders.

This novella is about Charlotte, and while it's a good addition to the series based on the content, there's very little to do with Auggie himself. This story tells about the girl dynamic in middle school, and how friendships change and often are different even in different settings. Like how Charlotte's friends are different in lunch than when she's in dance. There's also a good lesson about giving people a chance and not making harsh judgments based on what you think you see. And there's a lot to learn about growth and understanding who your true friends are based on their actions and who has been there for you consistently. I think this novella is important, especially for girls around this age, to read and see that it doesn't have to be as bad as some people make it out to be. Sometimes, all you need to do is talk to someone to see that they aren't who they might seem at first.

There is a book somewhere that has shingaling and pluto and julian chapter all in one book. My 4th grade teacher has it.

I remembered my own selfish middle School years, when I thought the world revolved around me. Well written, and honest.

Wonder is a great book! Scratch that, Wonder is the best book ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is everything you want in a book, funny, loveable and caring. When I read this book, I couldn't put it down! If you are considering reading it, I TOTALLY recommend this book! Even if you aren't considering Wonder, just go for it-you won't regret! I love this book, and so do all of my friends! Totally worth the five stars!

I really really love the Wonder Series. It is by far my favorite series and books of my reading career. I yearn to hear the book from Charlotte's POV. She was so nice to August. Someobe please tell me if I should read it. I have reviews on the Julian Chapter and Wonder. (The Wonder Review is titled "CLICK ME PLZZZZ and the Julian Chapter is titled "Chloe".) Reply if you have any comments or questions about me or Wonder.
