Overview

Chris "Shooter" Sullivan has returned to his home town of Rapid City, South Dakota to pick up the pieces of his life shattered by a roadside bomb in Iraq. He only wants to focus on holding what's left of his old unit together, running his garage where he builds custom bikes and cars, and pretending that his murdered father's motorcycle gang doesn't exist.

Hayley Turner is a young woman with her own traumatic past. Fresh off the bus from Nowhere, USA, all she wants is a job and a place to live, until it's time for her to leave again. She doesn't want to make friends, or enemies, least of all the ex-Army Ranger who obviously doesn't like her. She bristles under his watchful eye. He's even got her convinced she's bad news.

But circumstances force two people who don't need anyone to need each other more and more. The more Chris gets to know Hayley, the harder it is to stay detached. And the more Hayley gets to know Chris, the more she realizes she's been alone for so long she might never recover from it.

Enjoyed... This has to be one of the best books that I have gotten for free in a long time, so much so that I had to review. The characters were honest, the story flowed well, not a lot happens but the story of the H/h HEA was a sweet read. I laughed out loud many times and have already purchased book #2.

Wow! What a good read. Love the characters, love the plot, and love me some motorcycles bad boys. My first read by this writer, but I will pay money to read this entire series. All the bad boys characters are exciting and I can't wait to read their stories.

This author has talent. I know the story had issues....overuse of the word sassy, guys being too open with each other,.. but for a first book it was great. I loved the relationship between the two main characters, especially how he downplayed sex, knowing she had been raped.

Shooter is protectve and patient. Slick is sassy and scared. Story weaves together painful events, but with patience, friendships are formed, laughs shared and a story is told. 300+ pages free book. Will continue reading the next books in the serious.

I have to say ... Wen I read the bio I almost didn't read the book. I wasn't sure I was really that interested. But I am so very very glad I did! This is by far one of my favorite books now. One of the best I've read in a while. I found myself reading everything in full (which I have to admit sometimes I don't becuz the stories become cliche at some point or other) I loved the way the story played out. I loved the characters even more. All of them! And that's a first for me. The way this writer wrote the story made everything so flowing and great. The loyalty and honor and respect between the brothers was heartwarming and just fun to read an imagine. The banter was so easy to picture and feel a part of . And admiringly so was the suspense of the story as well. Giving the Sarah the independent ending she deserved . This is one story I will read over and over again though out time. It made me laugh..and smile..and worry.. and care. And even the heated scenerios were great. The anticipation and the understanding was incredible to go thru with the characters. And well... Made me want a "Shooter" in my life lol...so mission accomplished :) ... I will looking into more of this writers books for certain.

Was a fast read, never boring. She stuck to realistic responses of abuse and PTSD. Would definitely recommend this book.
