This book of 37 narrative poems was written for people who don't like poetry. Themes range from the humorous to the serious, from the realistic to the absurd. Montana and the West are central topics, along with a section about the war in Vietnam. Broken mining towns, wolves, buffalo and prairie dogs are leading characters. Museums, Paris, Mohicans and a sandwich make cameo appearances. Photos and a drawing are thrown in to lend an illusion of realism.
