Shumbachena is a fun filled, fast paced Fantasy adventure written in the first person. Swords, shields, battles and love all take place within the makeup of the story.
Adrian Riley is a bush ranger working to save endangered wild animals in Zimbabwe. Tracking down poachers on horseback with his companions, he faces menace at every turn. After an intense fire fight with Rhino poachers he is given the name Shumbachena by his companions.
Returning to the United Kingdom, he finds a completely different way of life to what he was used to. A gun totting bush ranger wasn,t what England needed. Finding himself on a dig at an ancient stone circle he finds an artefact that transforms his life in more ways than one. Through the powers of the artefact Shumbachena is able to travel into another world, where he finds danger, adventure and new companions.
While going through this new world, Carpa, Shumbachena starts to realise that the name Shumbachena - White Lion, is a lot more significant than he thought.
As their quest starts, events start tying up with the White Lion. Finally a transformation manifests itself, to the great surprise of Shumbachena, from within him.

About the Author
My name is Nicholas A Stanton. I was born is Swindon Wiltshire England. I spent most of my life, though, living in Zimbabwe. My parents moved to Rhodesia in 1974, whos name then changed to Zimbabwe Rhodesia and then finally to Zimbabwe. I lived in three different countries without ever having to move. Major savings on any relocation charges, that's for sure. Zimbabwe is a wonderful and beautiful part of the world and i hope that its troubles will be sorted out soon. Africa will always be in my blood. The experiences that i had while living there will never ever be forgotten.
I moved back to Swindon in 2000 with my lovely wife and baby daughter. The rest of the family soon followed. Unfortunatly my mother died just over a year later. I sorely miss her with all my heart. I never had time to say goodbye, which is why i have included her in my book as the professors wife, Jeanne Stanton. I hope a copy of my novel reaches her.
My novel "Shumbachena" is a Fantasy Adventure and written in the first person. I used the name "Shumbachena" because it is the nickname my wife bestowed on me. Its translation to English, from Shona, is White Lion. I had great fun writting it and i hope that readers of Fantasy Adventure will enjoy the story. I have based quite a few of the charactors on my family and friends.
I know you will enjoy the read.
