Hermann Hesse (1877-1962) was a German-Swiss poet, novelist, and painter. I love this book, really illustrates Siddhartha as a human person. Like all those greats of philosophical and religious discipline, he has a wondrous tale to tell. A classic for a personal perspective of the life of a mystical personage.
