Mexican by birth, Canadian by inclination, Silvia Moreno-Garcia lives in beautiful British Columbia with her family and two cats. Even without the in depth knowledge of music being played in Mexico City in the 1980s this story of teenage friendship was something I had trouble putting down once I had read a few chapters. The underlying themes of magic and how we find it, revenge and forgiveness just added to the story.
