Gr 4-6-This collection of hilarious short stories written by an Argentine author will appeal to older readers. Meet Miss Mummy, who teaches a class of very unusual, but attentive, students including Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man. During this particular class, students are learning to walk through walls. When Frankenstein's turn comes up, he takes a deep breath and charges through. He is not successful at first but after a second try, he succeeds and, wanting to be a good student, continues through as many walls as he can. Finally, Miss Mummy is satisfied. The remaining 12 stories in this collection are equally funny and extremely well written. Some terminology is local to the Argentina/ Uruguay region, however this does not deter from the stories. A glossary at the end is very helpful. Worthwhile for libraries and bookstores serving Spanish-speaking readers.
