I had my best friend buy this the day it came out, and she read it before giving it to me. This was my eighth Freethy book to read, and I've finished the majority of them in less than two days because I can never put them down! This was no different. Even my friend, who never reads anything, finished it within 24 hours. The story tugs at your heart, and it's much more mysterious with all the questions that the characters must answer... read it!

I loved this book. It definitely is a page turner. Both the hero and heroine were likeable and I found myself rooting for them. I read the book while traveling and almost missed my flight I was so into the book.

i had to turn off my Nook on the plane as we were ready to land and could not wait to finish reading the book when I got in the car. But I did not want it to end.

I read other people's reviews before purchasing this book and thought I'd give it a shot because the plot sounded interesting. Unfortunately the negative reviews were spot on. I've read over 300 pages and only learned a few new details in the story. It's like the author is dumbing it down for the reader because she keeps repeating the same things over and over. I don't appreciate being infantilized. I do want to know how the story progresses but I don't know if I have the patience to keep reading it. If she had a good editor and cut the story to around 300 pages I think it would have been really good. As is the case here sometimes less is more!

Another book ruined by harriet klausner and her cliff note rewrites. Please bn, do something about this poster, ban her, fine her ,but please do something. She consistently reveals the entire plot line in her so called reviews, which aren't reviews, but rewrites of the books themselves. Readers want to read the book for themselves, not have it spoiled for them by plot spoilers like her and others like her.

This book was certainly a pagw turner and most of the time i couldnt put it down however i felt the author would repeat the same point over and over again i thought the author could have done a better job on getting the poimt across wwithout constantly retelling it

Following a nasty car crash, a woman is rushed to St. Mary¿s Hospital in Santa Barbara County suffering a traumatic injury to her brain. To her shock she cannot remember who she is. Angry Jake Sanders arrives claiming Jane Doe is his lover Sarah Tucker, who vanished with their daughter Caitlyn. However, Sarah suffers amnesia and the emergency rescuers insist no baby was in the car or at the accident scene.------------ Although barely talking to one another, Jake and Sarah team up in a frantic hunt for Caitlyn. However, Jake who thought he knew Sarah when they were together revises his opinion when he concludes she was on the lam even when they lived together. When an unknown adversary tries to kill Sarah, Jake knows that Caitlyn is in jeopardy because of her mother¿s unknown past.------------- This is a one sitting suspense thriller from the moment that Jane Doe awakens in the hospital to the final altercation. The romantic subplot enhances the desperate search as she knows she has lived a life of lies but cannot recall them and he feels betrayed by the woman he loves, who might not exist. As they continue their SILENT RUN, readers slowly learn what Sarah forgot. Barbara Freethy provides a gripping romantic suspense.----------- Harriet Klausner

very predictable and a little hard to read.  I had to force myself to finish it.

Great story! Couldn't put it down, keeps you wondering what happened up until the very end.

An excellent novel. The suspense kept me reading and reading, and the romance gives a little sweetness to an otherwise mysterious book.

I love Barbara Freethy books but this one not a favorite. It was long and boring. It seemed redundant in some ways but did not explain enough about why she was running.

I could not put this book down. Wonderfully written. I loved the charactors, I was really roiting for them. There was a great amount of mystery and suspence with just enough romance. Highly recommend.

I'm not a huge reader in general, but this one hooked me and I found it hard to put down. Nice twists, a little romance...yum. Can't wait to read more of her books!

My first book by this author. I really liked it. I was intrigued right away and she kept me guessing until the end. Its not majorly action packed or rated R but it pulls on the heart strings if you like a good book with a happy ending. Also leads right into the second book which I liked. Going to buy it now!!

Its' a shame - her plots are fairly good and she keeps you guessing - BUT, her writing is laborious - goes over the same thing over and over again.

This was the first book I had read from this author and I was impressed. However at times I was annoyed with her characters continous relapse of memory. Reading the second book of the series showed me though that this was my favorite of the teo. This author keeps you in suspense and makes it difficult to put her books down. I would definetly recommend this book.
