"Silk on the Rocks" is the second installment of the Philadelphia OCTF crime series. The author, David S. Tanz, is a graduate of Boston University and currently resides in Voorhees, New Jersey. His first novel, A Shot of Brandi, also combines his interests of true crime stories, forensics, and the unique flavor of the Philadelphia area. Being an avid reader of mainstream fiction, his work captures the imagination and agenda's of those who function on the fringes of society's norms. His other interests include food, gourmet cooking and travel, which all are included to add a realistic and identifiable touch to his work.
