Like TLC, Silk balances the line between seductive soul and hip-hop informed funk on their self-titled debut. Vocally, the group is impressive, as is much of the production, which is seamless without being overly slick. The only problem with Silk

I loved this sexy, slow, seductive music in the 90's and still am a big fan for the music in the 00's. The songs represent a serious but slow and intense mood of infatuation and love, all in one! Thanks 'Lil G' for being a gentleman at the Falcons game...your a genuinely nice man...and, thanks for watching my Falcon's cups ((((hehehhehe))))) ~ love to you ~

This won't be your run-of-the-mill music review, People! What I'm about to say about 'Silk' will be from my musical experience (As far as being a huge fan of all music--- mainly R&B). I have had the pleasure of witnessing the 'Silk Experience' live in Okinawa less than a week ago. It is with great pleasure that I say that I'm happy to know that they're still bangin' out the hits-- as only they can-- and keeping their music as original as they are individually. I am a stickler for live performances and I must say that everytime I saw them on a television show and even when I saw them live, in concert, their harmony never sours. Watching how they interact with the audiences brought forth the realization that they are just as normal as we- the audiences-are. Although I may appear to be star-struck, I'm just the opposite. I'm in awe of most performers... and have been since I was 2. I love analyzing the lyrics to songs, I love the energy each person brings to the songs, and most of all... I LOVE MUSIC! So in conclusion to my rather unorthadox music review, ode to SILK, I'll say this: What makes Silk so smooth- like the soft, delicate fabric they're named for- is the fact that they can't be compared to anyone, and they most definately can't be reproduced. They are one of a kind.
