Overview

Silver Wolf Clan, #1

Loving him will be legendary. . .if she can survive it.

What happens when monsters turn out to be real? One summer night while camping in the woods, Morgan Carter finds out in a big way. A tall mysterious stranger, Greyson Crawford, risks his life to try and save her sister from the vicious wolf attacking their camp. When he's bitten and disappears into the night, Morgan can only assume the worst.

Greyson shows up a year later, and he's a different animal altogether. His eye color shifts constantly and the rumble in his throat sounds more animal than human. She hasn't any idea where he's been all this time, but a good guess as to what he's become.

Grey is determined not to let the darkness of his new existence affect Morgan and the little girl in her care. He hasn't been able to stop thinking about Morgan but knows he should stay away and let her live a normal life. That's easier said than done, though. A new danger pulls him from the shadows to keep her safe, and he's no wolf in sheep's clothing.

Can she accept what lurks just below his surface? More importantly, can she survive him?

I had to skip to the end because it was so boring. No likable characters. Boring, boring, boring. Giving the book a 3 just for the gumption of writing the a book. Otherwise it would be 2.

I really enjoyed this book and I was surprised at the withholding of the more romantic type scenes. I also enjoyed the different take on werewolves. Currently looking for book two now.

It's an easy enough read and mindless entertainment. Short story was rushed so you couldn't appreciate the development of the characters. Storyline was simple but entertaining enough till the end.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! The cover is beautiful!!! I love her purple eyes :) I bought this book back earlier in the year because I saw the cover and the blurb intrigued me :) This is the first book in the series, and it is an adult series. Greyson has been bitten and changed, and he is having a really bad year and not adjusting well. Morgan has had a tough year too, but she is adjusting better. The two of them have chemistry galore and she seems to tame the beast. I love most of the pack save one and you will know who it is when you read it :) I love this new world I’ve started to explore and the character personalities and interactions. Tera does an awesome job making everything seem to come alive in my head as I read. I love when it seems like the writing clicks with my brain. I can’t wait to read the next book which of course I already bought. I recommend this book to my wolf lovin’ friends because I know you will find this story very enjoyable.

I got this for free on Amazon back in January. I was interested in it because the series looked interesting and I was able to get the second book from Netgalley. The beginning of the book, started much like a typical werewolf horror story. Man out camping, hears something in the woods, checks it out find a large wolf terrorizing a woman, and ends up getting bitten by the werewolf. Cue the spooky music. Grey's Beast, as he comes to find out, is rare and very very scary. When Grey finds Morgan, the woman he saved in the woods, and starts to romance her, it is sweet, but spooky sweet, cause Beast is scary as hell yet remains gentle with Morgan's niece. I was happy there wasn't a big cliffhanger ending, but plenty of threads left dangling for the next book to pick up with. This was an enjoyable read, and I gave it 3 stars.

I love love stories, and got one with this book. Only problem I had with it was no sex scenes. Other than that, I loved it.

I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for an honest review. My Review: This novella wasn’t quite what I was expecting from the synopsis. I thought that it would be told mainly from Morgan’s perspective, or have more of her in the book, but it didn’t quite work out like that. Much of the story was told from Greyson’s POV and for the first third of the story Morgan was noticeably absent. Not a big deal, but not what I was expecting. This was a quick read for me and for the first half of the book I felt like I was missing out on a lot of what was going on. The story jumped ahead in the timeline at odd intervals and it often took me a bit to figure out how much or even that time had passed. One moment Grey was unsure of the pack the next he was an unofficial member. It would have been nice to read a bit more about the bonding that went on between them all. We could have learned more about the rules in this shifter world along with Grey. Once Morgan comes back into the picture the timeline starts moving at a more regular pace, but again I still felt as if I was missing parts of the story. When Morgan finally meets the pack we learn of whole conversations and decisions they made in their relationship after the fact. It might have been nice to have been shown rather then told about them. I did like the characters and the world seemed interesting, I just wish there had been more there. I could see the chemistry there, but just wasn’t given enough to bond with the characters. The action was well written, but some other scenes were a little convenient at times. The series has potential, but I’m not sure if I will be continuing on.

Silver Wolf Clan is the first book in the Silver Wolf Clan series by Tera Shanley. It's told primarily from Greyson's point of view, but we are given bits of Morgan's point of view as well. There is a mate bond, so the romance starts pretty quickly. The wolves are very in touch with their inner wolf, even in human form. It seems they have to work at controlling it at times, especially Greyson. I felt like this story was a good introduction for what's to come. I have some theories of what to expect in future books, so we'll see. I also have a theory about the first wolf we see in this book, but I can't say any of my theories as they will give away spoilers too! We can't have that! I found Silver Wolf Clan to be an enjoyable and entertaining read. I would like some more information about the wolves, but I'm not worried. I'm sure we'll learn more in the upcoming books. Silver Wolf Clan by Tera Shanley was kindly provided to me by Bewitching Book Tours for review. The opinions are my own.

Grayson Crawford’s life turned upside when he hears terrifies screams in the woods one night. Acting on instinct, he raced to Morgan Carter’s rescue, never dreaming he’d lose his life as he knew it in the process. Morgan’s attacker, a vicious wolf, claimed Grayson’s humanity in addition to her sister’s life. The last thing Gray remembers is Morgan’s lovely face. Life picks up a year later, with Gray struggling with a new reality. He’d become a shifter, a concept as scary to himself as it would be  to others if they knew his secret. Gray fights to hold on to the last shreds of his humanity, but without the guidance of another wolf, he's  losing the battle. He discovers, purely by accident an isolated pack of individuals just like himself. But they fear his strong alpha tendencies and he remains separate from them. When Gray stumbles upon Morgan again, he is shocked, but deeply attracted to the woman. Morgan has never forgotten her heroic rescuer, but she was certain he’d died in the woods. As their story unfolds, another woman within the pack has set her sights on Grayson, and ends up attacking Morgan and biting her while in wolf form. It doesn’t look good for Morgan, who sickens to the point of death and shifts into one of the rarest kind of being: A silver wolf. Terrified, Morgan, who has developed feelings for Gray turns to him for help, guidance and love. Tera Shanley has created a masterpiece at the center of which emotion reigns as king, and humanity and love take the driver’s seat. The rich tapestry of Gray’s desire to hold on to his humanity and find his place in the world unfolds naturally and continues to move the story forward. Shanley’s tagline--Loving him will be legendary, if she can survive it— says it all.
