About the Author

Keith Maderer is an author, a dynamic and humorous speaker, an entrepreneur and a 30+ year veteran of the financial services industry. He completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program in 1990 and has been a Fee-Only Registered Investment Adviser operating in Orchard Park, NY which is a suburb in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls region - since 1989. He works with individuals, pension plans and trusts to help them make simpler and better financial decisions.

He has been married to his high school sweetheart (Lori) for over 30 years (I hear she is up for sainthood) and has 5 adult children and 1 grandchild. He has been active in many local non-profit organizations and has served as a coach, League Commissioner and President of the Orchard Park Little League baseball program. He was the co-founder, President and team coach of the Orchard Park Youth Basketball Association and was the founder and managing director of the Maderer Foundation.

He actively volunteers in the District 65 Toastmasters International organization where he has served as President of both the Clarence Toastmasters and Larkin Leaders Toastmaster groups. He has achieved their highest designation of excellence in public speaking and leadership - the DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster Award) after only 4 years in the program.

He was the recipient of the Toastmaster's District 65 - Division A - Club President of the Year award in 2014 and the District 65 - Area Governor of the Year award in 2015. He was the first runner up in the District 65 International Speech Contest in 2016 and loves sharing stories, anecdotes and messages that help motivate and inspire others to achieve their own success.

His hobbies include Reading, Biking, Hiking, Photography, Golf, Disc Golf and playing with his grandchildren.
