From the New York Times bestselling author of the Lost and Found Sisters comes a heart-warming and funny story about family, friendship, and love.

Maddie Moore's whole life needs a makeover. In one fell swoop, Maddie loses her boyfriend (her decision) and her job (so not her decision). But rather than drowning her sorrows in bags of potato chips, Maddie leaves L.A. to claim the inheritance left by her free-spirited mother-a ramshackle inn nestled in the little coastal town of Lucky Harbor, Washington.

Starting over won't be easy. Yet Maddie sees the potential for a new home and a new career-if only she can convince her two half-sisters to join her in the adventure. But convincing Tara and Chloe will be difficult because the inn needs a big makeover too.

The contractor Maddie hires is a tall, dark-haired hottie whose eyes-and mouth-are making it hard for her to remember that she's sworn off men. Even harder will be Maddie's struggles to overcome the past, though she's about to discover that there's no better place to call home than Lucky Harbor.
Also includes 10 bonus recipes!

I have never read Jill Shalvis books. From the start I could not put this book down, great and funny and lots of heat. Reminds me of Nora Roberts with a little extra in there.

Romantic light read. Likeable characters and enough tension to hold interest. Excessive sex.

This book is truly a keeper. It made me laugh (a lot) and made me cry. Jill Shalvis is a wonderful storyteller and I highly recommend adding this to your bookshelf.

Sweet and well written. Maddie is the middle sister of three and is afraid to be invisible, so she tries to become different. Very enjoyable.

This is the first time reading this author's work. Thought the book was well done with a fun, interesting story. In fact, I had a hard time putting it down. Have already purchased a few more in the series and can't wait to read them. E

I want to move to Lucky Harbor and befriend Maddie. She's a very likable character who is easy to relate to. I love the relationship between Maddie and her sister, it reminded me of my relationship with my sister. A very fun, breezy read.

This is the first time reading this author and i loved her. I laughed until i cried at some of Maddie's uncomfortable moments. The only reason i did not give it 5 stars is because there were really to many sex scenes in the book. They tastefully written but just a few to many. Can not wait to read more of this author.

And more than worth the money. I've never read the author before, but that changes starting now. What could have been a trite and formulaic theme actually came out as a decently rounded set of female characters. Characters who weren't sugary, but had hearts with more than a few bruises. The male characters had less depth, but their cameraderie actually had me laughing aloud---something I rarely do. Just enough heat to keep it interesting, without the trash vernacular that can be so off-putting. I like the way she balances between silly & serious, loving & lusting, fearing & trusting. Pardon me while i go find her next book. And I hope you enjoy this one.

WARNING! Lots and lots of explicit sex! This is a book for mature readers only. I am surprized my eyeballs did not melt. This author either has had a of experience, a great imagination or read a lot dirty books. I admit I learned a few things. It was about 250 pages long. The editing was pretty good and I really liked the three sisters. I think this will make a nice series. The descriptions and other details were very well done. Some readers will find the sexual details offensive, but I found them....uh.....instructive and entertaining. At least it was not rape or orther types of violence against women. AD

I picked up this series because a) it was on sale and b) another favorite author (Kristan Higgins) always talks about Jill Shalvis on her Facebook page, so I decided to give it a try. What a payoff! Hilarious, heart-warming, characters you'd want to hang out with. Great romance novel(s). Strongly encourage you to read them in order, though. More fun that way!

This was my first time reading this author, I loved this book, it was a quick read and it made me laugh as I was reading it. I enjoyed it so much I have now read two more of the Lucky Harbor series just this week.

I would recommend it to anyone who loves lots of hot steamy scenes and doesn't mind foul language. I thought the sisters were very interesting and I wanted to know more about them but and I I just couldn't get past the sex and language. If Jill Shalvis changes her writing to tone down the sex and language I would love to read her books,

LOVE THIS BOOK! I could not put it down and read it all the way through in one setting. This book had me laughing out loud in some parts and in others ... well lets just say that if my husband wasnt at work, I may not have read it all the way through without an interuption or two. So pleased to have found another author to add to my list of must reads and even more pleased to see that there are 6 books in the series to look forward to, one for each day of the week... almost.

This book is filled with obscene language and pornograhic images! Not my idea of great literature . I removed it from my library without reading much of it.

Check out the full review at Kritters Ramblings The first in a series that takes place in Lucky Harbor in Washington State.  Three half sisters move into town to renovate a resort that their mother left them, but the property is definitely in need of some of TLC.  A small town and three half sisters who are known to create their own drama is a recipe for a great book.

Oh my...this one was a bit racier that I was expecting, but it was definitely good! A nice story with some spice, which made it just that much more interesting. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline too. Needless to say, I am looking forward to reading the remainder of this series and other books by Jill Shalvis. And, I have already recommended this book to several other people who were looking for some spicy mind candy!

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very likeable. I think I fell in love with Jax. Couldn't put it down. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. If it is half as good as this one I'll be happy.

I like the characters and the plot. There are plenty of hot sex scenes (every couple chapters). I just got a little tired of the phrase "pebbled nipples" and all the "cupping" of necks, breasts, etc. Worth reading. I will read more by this author.
