But staying two steps ahead of Maggie's determination to uncover the truth pushes his well-honed skills past the limit—and ignites his most naked instincts. Now every clue is a lie, each irresistible desire a lethal trap. And the closer he and Maggie get, their shattering secrets will either save them—or torch their lives to glittering ash…

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Maggie Anderson is the daughter of a preacher and the owner of strip club. Christian Beck is investigating the killing of strippers. Two totally different persons and an attraction that won't be denied. A must read!!!

Great Book! This is a great book; this is the first book in the Women of Vegas series by Lucy Farago. Maggie Anderson owns an exclusive club which gives abused and troubled women refuge from Vegas’s streets. Maggie realizes that someone is killing the people she is helping. Christian Beck is a private investigator who is investigating the serial killer’s MO. Christian is trying to protect Maggie since she is determined to uncover the truth. This book has romance, mystery, and suspense. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

An intriguing new series. Maggie runs a club to give abused and troubled women a refuge in Vegas and now someone is killing them. Beck is a private investigator and is out to stop a killer. Can these two work together and find the killer before he strikes again? Lots of suspense, and drama, I did enjoy the read but never felt a real connection with the characters. I am hoping the next book gives them a bit more depth. It was good.
