Overview

The last thing I want is to partner on a library exhibit with Max, a hot new art professor at my college, but it's part of my job as librarian so I don't have a choice. My attraction to him is intense and immediate, but I'm taking a break from dating so I can focus on myself. I don't need a distraction like Max.

He's a single father, and that's the only thing he can focus on now. He's never going to take a relationship with me seriously, no matter how much I want him to.

Single Dad is the third book in the Milford College series, novellas about the faculty and staff of a small liberal arts college.

3. 75 stars—SINGLE DAD is the third instalment in Noelle Adams’ contemporary, adult MILFORD COLLEGE romance series focusing on the men and women who work at Milford College. This is twenty-seven year old, librarian Katrina Pierce ,and thirty-nine year old, art teacher /single father Maxwell ‘Max’ Wentworth.SINGLE DAD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Told from first person point of view (Katrina Pierce) SINGLE DAD follows the building romance between Milford College librarian Katrina Pierce, and art teacher / single father Maxwell Wentworth. Hired as an adjunct instructor Max Wentworth is looking for help setting up an art exhibit in the library, and Katrina Pierce is his contact. Working together, a definite attraction begins to develop,an attraction Max is hoping to take further. What ensues is the building relationship between Max and Katrina as our couple balance their personal and professional lives without falling in love. Max Wentworth is a single father who is looking for a friends with benefits relationship from our story line heroine. Katrina’s last relationship ended when her boyfriend fell in love with somebody else, now Katrina is focusing on herself for the foreseeable future. The relationship between Max and Katrina is one of immediate attraction but Katrina struggles with her attraction to Max, and wavers between remaining professional and wanting something more. Max offers sex, fun and flirtation never expecting to fall in love. The $ex scenes are passionate and captivating without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. SINGLE DAD is a fun and flirty romance. The premise is engaging; the characters are sexy and sassy.

This is the third book of this series that is located at Milford College, a small liberal arts college. Now, you will read the story of Katrina and Max, she is an assistance librarian and is facing a moment in her life... Katrina is worried about getting thing on her own way and independence after being let down by her ex-boyfriend. Max is a bit older, divorced and is a single dad, her is teaching an art class at the college and is cannot take his eyes of Katrina. The thing here is that Max is patient and he understands the phase that Katrina is going through. This book is so lovely, sexy and above all is about this couple journey to happiness. Noelle Adams has a truthful way of telling a story, she is knows how to take these people into the next level and I just love her writing. You will love it!

This was such a cute, fun, sweet and smexy read! After putting her life on hold in order to follow the men in her life, Katrina has decided it’s time to put herself first. She has a list of things she wants to accomplish before she considers dating again. But the intense heat she feels each time she sees Max is hard to ignore. When they are thrown together for an art exhibit, she agrees to a “disposable” relationship. Nothing permanent, nothing demanding or complicated, just something…simple. Boy, I could totally see myself as well as friends in Katrina. Adjusting her life to fit what she thought a man wanted and then realizing that time had flown by and she hadn’t succeeded in accomplishing some of her goals left her feeling like a failure. I loved that she was determined enough to fight for what she wanted even at the cost of heartache. Her refusal to settle for less is a mantra girls/women hear and may repeat, but often never follow. Max was fun and flirty from the beginning. He was a lighthearted hero who was forthright with Katrina and determined to make her like him. Watching them together each time she tried to get rid of him was too cute. The fact that he called her on it only added to the cuteness factor. But as a single father, he had to be up front with her that his daughter was the center of his life and she would always take precedence over everything else. While there was a lot of steam and chemistry between this hero and heroine as well as plenty of smiles and some drama, above everything else, this story felt real. Like many of this author’s books, each of these characters are developed with flaws. They do not have perfect bodies, they do not always smoothly glide from one scene to the next. They stumble and waiver, they are both awkward at times and communication is often difficult but always feels real. Katrina and Max were perfectly imperfect and totally realistic and I loved them all the more for it.

This is a short but sweet love story! Max and Katrina each thought they knew what they wanted at this point in their lives, but neither saw the other one coming. This is a short but sweet love story! Max and Katrina each thought they knew what they wanted at this point in their lives, but neither saw the other one coming. Max has a 13 year old daughter and she is what matters to him most and Katrina is a bit younger than him and hasn’t had that many relationships but lost herself in the ones she did have so she is trying to focus on herself right now. I really enjoyed their - let’s keep things simple but boy did they complicated fast -relationship. Wonderful characters, story and ending!

Adams reminds the heart it's okay to be vulnerable. Single Dad is willing to appeal to the adorable side of life. Katrina and Max are at their most sexy when letting their emotions run free. If less is more, Noelle Adams sure knows how to make an impressive impact.
