For the perspective alone, this book is worth a read.  I use it in my War and Literature unit for an Honors English class.  While the author gets a bit long winded in the middle, the moral and ethical questions addressed by the nameless protagonist are important to understand.  As Americans, we so often see the world from only our limited perspective. We fail to even try to comprehend how people who are often considered "enemies" (but  are more often ignorant pawns in a horrible game) really experience the world.  While no act of terrorism is justifiable, this book gives perspective on what might make a person make a choice to kill and die in such a horrific way.
