WARNING: Do not read as library copy or as a print copy if consuming a beverage! Will cause spewing. Morgana's books make me want to do spoilers. Not really about the plot, but because of the situational humor. The publisher's blurb gives clues to plot, but cannot prepare you for the twists or appreciate the geat fun and laughter it causes. Poor Amelia always thought that she was hopeless at using a stove. Turns out that she is a hereditary kitchen witch. She came to learn this when her aunt died and left her the house, the business, and her friends. The business is a bakery, and the house has a mind of its own. This is the third murder in this series. Don't miss it! I dare you to go 2 or 3 pages without cackling!

Liked the book but the plot was too slow and simllistic. Really didn't make you think very hard. Stephanie Clanahan

Camino invites a few friends over one evening for a game of Clue. The guest list included Amelia, Thyme, Ruprecht, and Mint, as well as two other friends Madison, and Sue. During the course of the game, Sue suddenly drops dead. Everybody thinks it is either from a heart attack or stroke, but as with any sudden death, the police must be notified. Soon it becomes evident that Sue was murdered. When Camino is arrested as the main suspect, based on evidence planted in her house, it becomes obvious that Ruprecht and the others must do what they can to catch the culprit. They fear the matter cannot be left to the police. Meanwhile, Alder Vervain warns Amelia that somebody wishes to harm her and her friends. Who killed Sue and why? Sue's sister, Barbara, has been staying with Camino until the funeral. Did she plant the evidence the police found? Why would somebody want to frame Camino? Can Amelia and the group find the killer? Who wants to harm Amelia and her friends? Can they prevent it? This is a well-written story with short chapters that make for a quick read. This book also has plenty of humor. I am definitely looking forward to more books in this series.

Another enjoyable, quirky story about this young woman who has just discovered that she is a witch. Enjoying a fun evening with friend playing Clue, everything is great (albeit they are all a bit drunk on vodka soaked cookies!) when one person falls over dead. Then the search is on or who, why, and when this happened. Are the others in danger? And what's with the very desirable Alder?
