About the Author

Skylar Hill writes steamy romance about once-in-a-lifetime love.

She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her very own lumberjack/soulmate. When she’s not writing, she’s hiking one of the trails around her beautiful city, or drinking chai lattes in a cafe and eating way too many cinnamon rolls. She has several tattoos…but in places only her husband gets to see!

With a Skylar Hill book expect a touch of angst, a bit of sweetness, and a lot of steaminess. While you'll find plenty of the delicious drama you love, you'll NEVER find a hero or heroine cheating and every book--series or standalone--ends with a HEA or HFN....guaranteed!

Skylar is currently hard at work on her next steamy romance.

A Serial Actually Worth Reading. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, Six Impossible Things: Part 1 by Skylar Hill. Normally I won’t touch a cliffhanging serial with a 10 foot pole but when it comes to Skylar, I’ll read pretty much anything she writes. I knew this series would be good but after reading Part 1 I can tell it’s gonna be great!

Utterly sweet and charming. Nora's a free spirited artist who's trying to live by her head instead of her heart after disastrous break-up. Lucas is a philanthropist with a tragic past who agreed to a blind date to keep his best friend's wife happy. Will Luke be able to satisfy both Nora's head and her heart? Will this blind date turn into something magical or a complete mess? We'll have to wait and see. As part one of a serial, we don't get a fully satisfying ending just yet. It's a bit of a cliff-hanger, but it's not a very tall cliff. It reminds me of most prologue short stories: there's a lot of background and world-building with just enough hints about what's to come in order to whet our appetites. I want to hug Nora, strangle her ex, and keep Lucas for myself. I'm anxious for the next part to be released so that I can see what other impossible things are coming.

This is the first part of a new seven part series by Skylar Hill. For what it is, I enjoyed it. It's part of a serial, so if you're looking for a full story, then you're in the wrong place. It ends with a cliffhanger (albeit gentle) of what's to come for this couple, Nora and Luke. With that in mind, if you don't mind waiting a short time, then it's worth reading this book. I'm not a fan of serials and cliffhangers normally, but I have loved each series done by Skylar Hill before, and I like this one. It does a great job of setting up the main characters, all likeable and relatable, and if you read Skylar Hill's other series, then you'll love this one even more since this book is in the same universe with common characters. The writing is solid, well-edited, and in Skylar Hill's signature style, which I love. If you've read her books before, you definitely want to check out this one! If you don't like waiting, then you're in luck; the series will all be out within a reasonable period of time. You just have to be willing to pay for the next 6 books. This one is free, and it can be read in 30 minutes or less. You'll know quickly if you are willing to continue. I know I am!
