Overview

Life is full of twists and turns, negatives and positives. Throughout our lives we all experience stress, worry, concern, and fear. It's that fork in the road where one can only turn toward the left or right, not realizing that once we make the wrong turn we simply can't stop and turn around. In life, every choice made has a consequence. In Mike Smith's case, the decisions and choices made in December 1994 would lead to a long, lonely, and heartless lifestyle for many years, and to this day affect his every day and limit him in having a normal life. Felony convictions simply never disappear on one's record, nor in the eyes of our society.

About the Author

Michael Smith was involved in an automobile accident, which introduced him to more challenges, and he found himself engaged several times in conversation about his past experiences in prison. He began putting emails together about different situations and memories of his prison days, which his wife, kids, and even his attorney found intriguing as they encouraged him to continue.
Now forty years of age and a small business owner, he enjoys riding motorcycles, fishing, and life. He strives to live a solid, productive life and be a great example for guys in situations he has been through so that they too can have a second chance to start a new chapter in their lives, just as he has.
