Skating on Thin Ice (Seattle Sockeyes Hockey) by Jami Davenport

Revised and Edited Third Edition

He trusts his gut, she trusts her numbers, and neither trusts the other, as a billionaire's mission to bring hockey to Seattle clashes with his passion for the woman who holds his heart.

Ethan Parker, a billionaire determined to bring professional hockey to Seattle, will stop at nothing to realize his dream. After putting down a hefty deposit on another city's team, the sale is stalled as the parties involved evaluate their options. In the meantime, Ethan's investors insist he go undercover during the playoffs to get the inside scoop.

Lauren Schneider, assistant director of player personnel, gets no respect from the team's testosterone-loaded staff. When Ethan bursts onto the scene, full of charm and genuinely interested in her opinions, she shares the team's weaknesses and discovers a weakness of her own--for Ethan. But when his true identity is revealed, and he starts cleaning house based on her input, his betrayal cuts deeply on both a professional and personal level. Bound by an employment contract, Lauren reluctantly moves to Seattle to work for the newly christened Seattle Sockeyes and her sexy, infuriating boss.

Lauren and Ethan must come to terms with their passions--for the team, for hockey, and for each other. Will their situation build a frozen wall between them, or will their love burn hot enough to melt the ice shielding their hearts?

Skating on Thin Ice is all about fighting for what you believe in. On and off the ice. Ethan and Lauren are both very passionate about hockey. Ethan wanting to move the team to Seattle. And Lauren wanting to save the FL team. Their passion for hockey brings them together in an unlikely team. A great story with great characters full of passion and heart. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Lauren works for a Florida hockey team that is rumored to be for sale. Ethan is a billionaire trying to purchase the team and move it to Seattle. Both have been lied to by others and have trust issues. This was a well written story with strong characters and very believable. I really enjoyed reading it. Can't wait to read more of her books. joy943

Very enjoyable book even if you don't know or care about the day-to-day running of a hockey team. The whole cast of charactors are well written. Even though it's part of a series, it's a stand alone story.

Two people, both with trust issues with the opposite sex, find that their mutual love of hockey brings them together. But is it enough for Lauren and Ethan? Passion and spicy content in a contemporary romance that is fun to read. Puck bunnies, love the term.
