About the Author

Kristin Kirkpatrick, MS, RD, LD, is the manager of Wellness Nutrition Services at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, where she oversees nutrition-related services at the Center for Lifestyle Medicine. She is an award-winning dietitian and a regular guest on local and national television shows, including The Dr. Oz Show, NBC Nightly News, and the TODAY Show, as well as NPR Radio.

Ibrahim Hanouneh, MD, completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Cleveland Clinic. After completing his training, Dr. Hanouneh joined the Gastroenterology and Hepatology staffs at the Digestive Disease Institute at the Cleveland Clinic and has served as an assistant professor at the Lerner College of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Hanouneh currently provides care at Minnesota Gastroenterology, a Twin Cities-based gastroenterology practice.

When I purchased this book I did not realize how it would change my life! The information is excellent, concise, easy to understand and very eye-opening! The recipes are fabulous and I am giving a copy of this book to all my friends and family. Ms. Kirkpatrick has done a first rate job of educating us on this very important and timely topic!

This Book Saved my Husband’s Life Three years ago he was diagnosed with NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) He tried adjusting his diet but really had no idea how to battle this disease. Then December 2017, 51 years old, a non drinker, a non street drug user and yet his liver stopped working. He was told that it was going to go one of two ways. (1) Liver Cancer (2) Liver Transplant. That was it. Completely scared, unsure of what to do, he saw this advertisement on TV for this eating regiment for people w/Fatty Liver Disease. He bought the book. After reading the forward he realized this book was written for him! Starting weight 265 pounds. That was January 2018. Following the recipes and guidelines in 3 weeks he lost 15lbs. Seven months later he weighs 197 pounds. He says he feels so much better. He’s off all medication, except for 2.5milgram high blood pressure med. He is continuing with this book.
