Overview

Skye
Walking down the aisle toward my arch enemy wasn't exactly what I was picturing when I planned out my dream wedding as a little kid. But as I take in his chiseled jaw and sexy smirk, I remember why I agreed to this sham of a marriage.

It's because I'm a glutton for punishment and love a good underdog story, and the more I get to know Liam, the more I can see that he's exactly that.

The underdog.

I just hope I'm not wrong about him.

Liam
Marriage is a load of crap and my dad knows it, which is why he insisted I find a wife if I ever wanted to touch my inheritance.

Little does he know, I don't have a problem getting my hands dirty in order to get what I want. And if I have to use my little brother's nanny to prove it, I will.

Besides, the girl drives me insane. It's not like we have anything in common other than our mutual disdain for each other.

This'll be a walk in the park.

I hope.

About the Author

Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.

She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, her boxer, and her devon rex. Now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.

Kelsie Rae is a relatively new author to me and I have no idea why that is. I found this book to be entertaining and I was invested from the first to the last chapter. I enjoyed Ms. Rae’s style of writing and found the characters to be easy to relate to and likeable. This is Skye and Liam’s story and although I really liked Skye from the start, I admit it took a while for Liam to grown on me but thankfully he did and although there were some moments that brought tears to my eyes, throughout the read I couldn’t help but cheer for Skye and Liam to get the happily ever after that they deserved. What happens when pretend suddenly becomes reality? That’s what happens to Skye and Liam when they come together. The chemistry between them burns brightly, but is it enough for them to take a leap of faith? This was a sweet, romantic, angsty, at times humorous roller coaster of a read that I didn’t want to put down.

Exceptional! An extremely entertaining, captivating, and interesting addition in the Signature Sweethearts series. It is well written, well-developed, relatable, emotionally deep, witty, funny, and consistent. There is drama, lies, family drama, likeable characters, off the charts chemistry, and more to look forward to in this book. A recommended read! A clean romance. This book is a very enjoyable tale of two likable character's journey from a fake to a real relationship. Liam is apparently a good for nothing womanising layabout with a body that Adonis might envy versus Skye, the gorgeous, trusting and kind nanny to Liam's half brother. The storyline has a lot of intimated sex but no actual mention, so it is squeaky clean. There are a whole host of lies and even more assumptions. Casting blame has always been easier than finding out what hurts people as that might bring one's own role closer to the cause of failed relationships. Liam's disastrous relationship with his father is brilliantly depicted. He was always showered with money, but love, care, encouragement, attention were never things he experienced from his father. Skye changes all that with a lot of work but pays for it with her heartbreak. Liam and Skye's fake marriage and subsequent Italian honeymoon is an exercise in the gradual development of trust, and the strength to allow their real feelings for each other to surface. Good editing and the frequent witty dialogue enhanced the experience. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Skye will win your heart! Two very different people from opposites sides of the tracks, come together to make the best of a bad situation...what could possibly go wrong? The witty banter between Liam and Skye captured me from the beginning, and by then I was hooked to find out how the scenario would play out. Liam's little brother is by far by favorite scene stealer and I loved watching this story develop. Such a great addition to the Signature Sweethearts series!

Absolutely loved this! Not gonna lie this is my favorite of all the sweetheart books. I loved Skye from Sway's book. But i was super excited to read it! The whole story was great. The chemistry of these two characters was fabulous. And i loved Brody he is the absolute cutest 6 yr old everrrrr. I love the relationship Skye and him had. And can we talk about the trip to Italy! That was fantastic and so so good! I was so happy with how the book ended! I cant wait for the next book.

Liam is a rich playboy brat who spends daddys money like water. His father wants him to grow up and be responsible before he hands him his inheritance. Skye works for the family as a nanny to Liams younger half brother. Skye doesn't like liam but shes attracted to him. She starts to belive that Liam might not be as bad as he seems afterall. In a unexpected spur of the moment move, Skye offers to help Liam get out of his toxic relationship with his father. During their honeymoon both start to really fall for eachother. But things turn sour upon returning home. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

He needs a bride and Skye just so happened to step up to the plate for him. When his family told him he needed to grow up and marry before he received his inheritance, Liam devised a plan to get around it. When it fell through Skye filled in. Now she is way over her head and her heart just might suffer the consequences. This story draws you in and have you compelled until the last page. My favorite kind of heartache is one that turns a frown right side up. Skye is at the top of that list. Rae takes her gift for humor and brings joy to your heart. From sworn enemies to partners in crime. Liam and Skye turn a marriage of convenience into a heartwarming battle of hearts, humor and chaos. Will their battle of wills be a match made in heaven or heartbreak? Sugar with a generous dose of sentiment makes for an irresistible romance.

Skye is a saint, while Liam is a real piece of work. From his very first scene, Liam comes across as a selfish jerk, one of the least redeemable characters I've read in a very long time. His marriage-of-convenience with Skye didn't do her any favors at all, and his eventual redemption came pretty much after it was too late to have much depth or meaning. Still, we've got a pretty solid enemies-to-lovers attraction going on. Skye is certainly heroic enough for both main characters, while Liam requires more than enough personal growth for any story. That he gets there is essential to the HEA, of course, but I was hoping for a little more of a glimpse that that noble side of his had been present, if hidden deep, all along. Brody was a delight, and the inclusion of Skye's sisters provided much-needed balance and depth, as well as setting up the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

In case you have never read any of my other reviews for Kelsie Rae's works, I absolutely adore Jude, the book not just the character. I compare everything she writes to that masterpiece of prose. Usually, I can keep my head held high while saying that Jude is the greatest book and although the others deserve 5 stars (and got them from me) Jude deserves 10. Skye left me questioning that. Skye was that good. It deserved 10 stars. Skye was just soo good! (Yes, I am gushing). The characters were both likeable and hateable at the same time. Skye herself was fun and a little naive which helped the story line along. Liam is an enigma, you don't quite trust him but you want to. And of course, the recurring character visits are a fun part of the Signature Sweethearts series. Overall, I still love Jude, but Skye is a close second. I highly recommend Skye by Kelsie Rae and also recommend any of her other Signature Sweethearts series.
