Overview

Space is cold, dark and open for much farther than the eye can see. You rely on sensitive instruments to tell you that the endless darkness is not empty as it appears, trying to hide in plain sight while your enemies do the same. Your armored space suit is no protection against the chill you feel, knowing that Death is out there, armed not with a scythe, but with particle beams and lasers that will rip through your hull before you even have a chance to detect them. Your bridge stations are buried within the hull, hidden behind armor, fuel and engines, but tactical nukes strike hard and deep.

To survive, you rely on instincts and computers, analyzing accelerations and targeting solutions presented by the tactical computers, while being buffeted about by the quasi-random engine blasts your computers use to outwit your foes. Your only consolation is that if something gets through, it will hit you so quick you'll never know it happened.

Slag! is the space combat game you don't need to be a rocket scientist to play, or a defense budget to afford. Fast enough to play over lunch, with custom ship design and handicapping rules for different Tech Levels to provide endless variation and challenge. Let Slag! take you to where the wars of the future will be fought. You'll be glad you're not actually there.
