That night Caden wakes up to strange noises. Concerned, she rushes into Gabriel's room, already anticipating his bad temper. Instead, he's kind, sweet, and suspiciously harmless-nothing like the man who gave her a ride. He seems like a different person altogether, and claims he is. It is only a matter of time before Caden realizes he suffers from sleep walking, or maybe even something more serious. She doesn't know yet but by night he is Tom, and by day he is Gabriel. Caden finds herself drawn to Tom and the mystery of who he is.
For Gabriel, Caden is an annoying mistake. One night turns into many, and despite all his anger towards her, she stays. She even seems to accept him and his flaws, but he still doesn't trust her-she knows too much about him, even though he hasn't shared anything. When he drops his guard and kisses her, she calls him Tom. Furious and hurt, he demands an explanation. When she explains that he becomes Tom at night, Gabriel realizes that Caden has stayed for Tom, not him. Crushed, he kicks her out, knowing-hoping-she'll return. But if she does, will it be for him? Or will she come with a different agenda? One that may destroy him.

Perfect, quick read that keeps you engaged and entertained. I can't wait to read more. xoxoxox
Sleeping Tom is an amazing read, I was captivated from the start of the book. I usually read paranormal or fantasy books so this book seemed very real to me, but in a very good way. I could definitely relate to the struggles the characters went through. I thought it was a very interesting concept to explore a character who had multiple personalities, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I really enjoyed this book and can not wait for the sequel, or any more new books from this author. EV Fairfall does a great job of creating suspense and finding romance in unexpected places.
Sleeping Tom will have you turning the pages through the night. Caden, a broken hearted and recently homeless girl, hitchhikes for the very first time... she's picked up by Gabriel. Young and handsome with a cold demeanor. He lets her stay on his couch but he is clear that it can only be for one night. Caden agrees. It isn’t until she’s fallen asleep that everything changes, waking up to a loud crash... she goes to Gabriel’s room but the boy she finds isn’t anything like the guy who picked her up on the side of the road. A gripping love story that I loved and enjoyed. The food is amazing, the rain storms are beautiful and I can’t wait for more.
Sleeping Tom is made all the more intriguing by the fact that E V Fairfall explores the idea of multiple personalities, without crossing the line between reality and the paranormal. At first, Caden assumes that Tom is another person, living with Gabriel, who she needs to rescue. In researching the subject further, she realizes that Tom is just a compartmentalized area of Gabriel's psyche, who, as a result of trauma or abuse has retained his childlike qualities. It is not just through E V Fairfall's creation of Gabriel that the idea of duality is examined. In the beginning of the story, we meet Rebecca, who has been manipulated by her boyfriend. Rather than jump from the bridge she stands on, she decides to become Caden. To her, a new name means adopting a different set of personality traits, " Caden. It fit her better. It had to. She would make it fit; she would change into a new girl. This time she would do things right. She wouldn't mess everything up." Caden discovers that there is an object which is precious to Tom and is possibly the key to his awakening. This is a decorative butterfly, broken on the first night she meets him. According to animal symbolism, butterflies represent "powerful transformation", "renewal, rebirth" and "the world of the soul". Tom is determined to keep the butterfly, even retrieving it from the rubbish, but when Caden realizes its significance, the consequences are beyond anything we could have imagined. Sleeping Tom is a compelling novel, in which E V Fairfall combines psychology and romance. The conclusion to the story is unpredictable and the reader finishes, craving the book's sequel.
