## FABULOUS. I had so much fun reading this story. The plot is by no means unique, but who cares? It was a fun and flirty read that made me smile. A lot. At first I didn't think I was going to like the heroine because she was so clumsy. I like strong, capable heroines. Boy, was I wrong. Claire was simply delightful. She was smart, witty, honest and didn't mind making fun of herself. I love how playful she was. And MAN, this hero was hot! As in "humina, humina" hot. These two were perfect together. Thank you Ms. Clarke for this outstanding book.

Sleeping With The Boss by Marissa Clarke is a wondrously marvelous workplace romance.  Will Anderson is a former Marine and is trying to figure out who the spy is at his family's business, Anderson Auctions, is. Claire Williams is a new temp at Anderson Auctions after having cared for her grandparents for the last few years. She wants to travel the world, but she can't do that until her grandparent's insurance money comes through.  One thing leads to another and Claire ends up at the top of the suspect list, even though Will does not believe she could be the spy some coincidences are just too much to ignore.  I stayed up way too late reading and loving Will and Claire's story of spies and romance with a few "Claire-isms" thrown in to add to the fun. I will be suggesting this book to everyone that loves an excellent contemporary romance, or just loves a very well written five-star book. I know Sleeping With The Boss will be one of my top books of 2014.

My Thoughts: I'm impressed with this new line from Entangled. These stories have the right mix of sweetness and passion and potential love. Marissa Clarke brought it with this lovely tale! You seriously can't not love Claire and William. The banter and the desire and the kissing... oh, it's impossible not to enjoy their story. William may have had ulterior motives with her at first, but he falls for her, and she does for him. Of course, there are some speed bumps along the way for them. Along with the mystery comes the romance, and the romance is perfection. When you reach the end, you're hugging the book (er, your ereader) to your chest and sighing. Sleeping with the Boss was a worth-every-minute-of-it read. I could definitely pick it up again and again, rereading Claire and William's journey. I would definitely recommend this new line from Entangled, AND Marissa Clarke. My Rating: Very Good

I can honestly say I enjoyed this one from the very first scene. Poor Claire and her many, many Claire-isms! Will and Claire's elevator "meet cute" grabbed me and wouldn't let go: Floor twenty-two, and they were only halfway to the top. She glanced at her watch, and yeah, she was late. She pinched her still-itching nose as the door stopped on floor thirty and everyone filed out except for a guy at the back of the elevator. Claire found herself gawking as the door slid shut. Hot? Holy smokes, he was hot—and huge, like a football player. Her body buzzed to life like she’d just chugged that double-shot cappuccino she’d passed up because she was late. No need for caffeine now. Maybe her best friend Heather was right; maybe getting out of the house was a good thing. Claire jerked her gaze away and faced front, pushing the button for the top floor as if hitting it again would matter. He pulled a handkerchief out of this top jacket pocket and held it out to her. She shook her head. “No, no thanks. I’m good.” Blasted sneezing. The woman had left an olfactory equivalent of the atom bomb. Achoo! He wiggled the handkerchief. “I insist.” She shook her head and pushed her glasses into place. “I…uh…” Feeling another sneeze coming on, she conceded defeat and accepted his offer. In her usual style, she dropped her purse. Items scattered in all directions over the rose marble elevator floor. Heather called this kind of thing a Claire-ism because she was Murphy’s Law personified. If something silly, awkward, or bizarre could happen, it would happen to Claire. Track repairs making her train late to work? Check. Shoe strap breaking as she ran from subway station to building? Check. Bizarre, intense perfume allergy kicking in while stuffed into a packed elevator with a painfully hot guy? Check. Spilling her purse in front of said painfully hot guy? Check. Four Claire-isms in a morning was impressive, but not unheard of. She shook her head and tried to smile. “Just one of those days,” she said, bending down to pick up her belongings. And, yep, that ripping sound would be her skirt, bringing the total to five—an all-time record. Somehow she didn’t feel like cheering for this impressive accomplishment. The guy reached over her and inserted a tiny key into a slot above the top button, and the elevator came to a smooth stop. Oh, God. That meant he was someone important. He squatted down next to her as she snatched up her lipstick, keys, and rail pass. “I think something ripped,” he whispered. She dropped the items into her purse and met his bright blue eyes. “Yeah, that would be the sound of the last shreds of my dignity being torn in two.” But, hey, at least she's wearing a very attractive pink thong underneath. One that's totally visible reflected in the shiny elevator panel right behind her. Still, it could be worse, right? Right?? ;) Sleeping with the Boss offers a different twist on the usual workplace romance. Will's only Claire's "boss" in the strictest sense of the word--she's only a temp employee, and he's not in any way her direct supervisor. Once they give in to their attraction, though, and decide that a temporary fling is the way to go (yeah, I know. That's totally going to work) they really milk the whole "business" aspect of their relationship quite cleverly: “Here’s my business proposal…well, it’s more of a pleasure proposal really.” She giggled and he tried to channel his inner Michael and not laugh along with her. Keeping his best boardroom exec face, he continued, “I would like a two-week exclusive arrangement with you, during which we explore the limits of how much fun two people can have in that amount of time. I think we both need and deserve it. I propose we call it the Claire Project. What do you think, Miss Maddox?” He stopped pacing and faced her with what he hoped was a businesslike expression. Her grin broadened and she set her spoon aside. “I’ll have my people send the paperwork over.” “I’m so glad we are in accord. No paperwork necessary, Miss Maddox. Let’s consider it a binding oral agreement.” See what he did there? An oral agreement? ;) That's just the start--the analogy leads to some really fun--and funny--conversation both in and out of the bedroom.  Really, the clever and witty writing--and an adorable romance--made this book for me.  The "whodunit" part of the story--the entire reason Will's even in the office to meet Claire in the first place--did have me stumped for a while. It's clear to see how Claire would be suspect, even though both Will and the reader knew it couldn't be her. I did figure out who it had to be before it was revealed, but just barely.  And finally--the coup de grace that made this book a winner, at least for this reader--the grand gesture takes place at the Temple of Hatshepsut. Seriously. Why don't more romance novels end up in the Valley of the Kings? A clear oversight. Ms. Clarke has a new fan. I can't wait to see what fun awaits the next Anderson brother! Rating: 4 stars / A- I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Claire Maddox has spent her entire life taking care of everyone but herself. When the opportunity of a lifetime comes her way, she grasps it with both hands. Before she can leave for Egypt she has to finish her temp job, which is all fine and dandy until William Anderson walks into her elevator and catches her by surprise. Now she can't get him out of her head and it seems as if he's worming his way into her heart, but the secret he's keeping from her may just ruin their relationship before it really starts. William Anderson survived combat overseas only to come back home to be publicly broken up with and humiliated. The war hero turned broken-hearted warrior spends most of his days coped up in his home but when his brother call him in for a special assignment William is determined to find the mole inside their company. What he doesn't expect is clumsy Claire Maddox to come stumbling into his life. Sleeping with the Boss is humorous, sexy and intriguing. I loved Claire and all her quicks and clumsiness. The quirks and the clumsy side of her just makes her more appealing and real as a character. Her kind heart and compassionate nature just make her that much more wonderful. William is a hero. His ex did a real number on him, but in the end I was glad he was no longer with her as he was a good guy who deserved better. The pairing of William and Claire was a good match. They seemed to play off one another and complemented each other's personalities well.  The other Anderson brothers seemed pretty appealingly and I can't wait to hear their stories in the future. As for the settings, I liked how the story took place in more than one setting - Home, and exotic location, and Egypt are all so different from one another and yet in each setting throughout the book you can picture yourself there thanks to the descriptive tones Marissa Clarke uses. Sleeping with the Boss deserves more than 5 stars, but alas, I can only go up to those 5, so I shall say this... Go out and pick up your copy of Sleeping with the Boss today. You won't regret it! ;)

It's taken me longer to post my review than it did to read this book! Sleeping with the Boss was a fast, fun, sexy story. Will and Claire grabbed me from the first page and kept me engaged through the most embarrassing first meet in the history of elevator rides, a little corporate espionage, and a whole lot of chemistry. They're quick, clever characters and the dialogue had me grinning to myself like a crazy woman while killing time with my e-reader at Starbucks. So, you know, be aware of that risk. Otherwise, just sit back and enjoy!

Sleeping with the Boss begins with Claire having one of her "Clair-ism" days. And it only gets worse when she ends up embarrassing herself in front of her boss Will, who she just met. Will sees Claire and instantly they are attracted to each other, but Will's been hurt in the past and isn't willing to have another relationship. And Claire is leaving in two weeks to Egypt so she doesn't want to have a relationship either. But when the connection between them can't be denied, they slowly give in to temptation for a two week relationship.. However, Will's hiding a few things, and Claire is dead set on moving away, these two will have a lot to go through if their relationship will ever be more.   When I first started this book I didn't have any expectations at all for it. Then I made it through the first chapter, and just about died laughing. I loved "Clair-ism" it was absolutely hilarious. And If you do not know what this means then I encourage you to get on the ball and read this book asap! The story not only had me laughing, but it had me captivated as well. I couldn't wait to get to the next chapter to see what would happen next. This book was a perfect mixture of humor, romance, and drama all added with amazing characters, and awesome plot that created a fantastic book!  I highly recommend this one. It is a must read. The characters weren't ever annoying, the plot was easy to fallow and had very little angst and it ended with an HEA. So overall it was totally awesome!

I really enjoyed reading Sleeping With The Boss. It was a cute, compelling read with smart, snappy writing Claire is full of funny but embarrassing “Claire-isms” (foibles like tripping over her feet or splitting her skirt) that her new boss Will finds adorable. When Will’s brothers accuse Claire of selling their business secrets to competitors Will defends her despite their incredulity. Then he sets out to prove her innocence. Unfortunately, that isn’t as easy as he’d hoped. In the middle of this mess, they manage to fall in love. The author has an engaging style so I’ll be standing in line to read more of her books. She’s gained a new fan. I recommend her book and award it four stars.

This is a super cute story about a woman, Claire, who takes a temporary job working at Anderson Auctions, a company run by the three Anderson brothers. Former marine William Anderson is brought in to flush out the spy that’s taking advantage of their company and Claire quickly becomes his number one suspect. The chemistry between Claire and Will is my absolute favorite thing about this book. I don’t usually find books where the chemistry is off the charts, but Claire and Will have it. Some of their lines had me laughing out loud. I also loved the characters. Will has been burned so badly in the past by a woman he loved and he wasn’t looking for anything serious in Claire. I like how he overcame that to be with her. Claire was absolutely adorable. She’s a very quirky and likable heroine and I wish we could see her in more books. I also liked the secondary characters like Michael and Chance and can’t wait to see their stories told. I’ll be looking for the next books in the Anderson brothers series. At just over 200 pages, this is a really quick read and one I definitely recommend. I was given a copy of this book via Xpresso Tours in exchange for an honest review.

Claire Maddox is about to see the world. She’s spent the past few years taking care of her aging grandparents and dreaming about the day when she can finally visit Egypt. While she waits for her inheritance, Claire takes a temporary job for two weeks. On her first day of work, she bumps into William Anderson, the hot security specialist and part owner of Anderson Auctions. Will usually handles the firm’s security remotely, but he’s been called in by his brothers to find a corporate spy. So far, all the evidence points to their newest hire, Claire.  Despite this, Will feels drawn to Claire and they start dating. He doesn't believe she could possibly be the spy but he’ll need hard evidence to convince his brothers. From the start of their awkward meeting in an elevator, the chemistry between Will and Claire is cute and it only gets cuter as the book goes on. Claire is easy to root for and very likeable from the first page. She’s the type of heroine that doesn’t have it all together. She’s a little awkward and a little shy, which just make her more adorable. Will’s a former Marine and he’s a nice blend of sexy and strong. He’s been burned before and Claire’s the first woman he’s really noticed since then. As things heat up between the two of them, Will is determined to find the spy and prove Claire’s innocence. But in the end, it’s Claire who must choose between telling the truth or keeping a secret that will make her lose what she wants most of all, true love. Sleeping with the Boss is a fun romantic comedy. Marissa Clarke delivers sizzling chemistry and witty dialogue that make this book a delightful read.

Seducing the enemy has never been so tempting… For the last five years, bookish Claire Williams has been living for the dying. Now that her stint as caretaker is over, she’s off to see the world. She needs quick cash first, so a temp job at Anderson Auctions seems perfect, especially with the unexpected benefits, including the hottest man she’s ever laid eyes—or hands—on.  Former Marine William Anderson has been burned one time too many. His military training makes him the perfect man to flush out the spy undercutting his family business, but no amount of training can prepare him for the kind of undercover work he’ll have to do when the sexy new temp is implicated. Desire lands them in bed…but duty may cost him his heart. Review: I can tell this is going to be a great series! From the first scene in the elevator where Claire rips her skirt and dumps her purse, I knew this was going to be a good story. Claire has gone to work as a temp at an auction house which happens to be owned by Will and his brothers.  Claire is really just starting her life.  She has been taking care of her beloved grandmother for years and after she passes Claire decides to use the inheritance money to do what she has always wanted to do, travel and take an internship in Egypt.  While she is waiting for the money she is working at the auction house.  After their meeting in the elevator, witty flirting ensues, but there is a spy in the auction house and Claire is suspect number one.  While Will really does not believe that Claire is stealing customers, really all fingers point to her.  Will knows he should not get close to Claire but their chemistry is so potent that is it hard to resist the attraction.     I love the fun, witty dialog between Claire and Will, it makes them such a fun couple to read.  Both Claire and Will make mistakes along the way that threaten this burgeoning relationship.  The scene where Claire over hears that she is a suspect was really heart wrenching and made you feel her hurt.  Claire has spunk and is caring, which make her a very likable heroine.  Will is just wonderful he is back from serving in the military, he rich and handsome, and wants those things that make all girls go mushy. Oh, I almost forgot the Clair-isms, they were funny and made Claire more endearing. This story has a lot of great elements it is fun, well-written story, a little intrigue and drama, very sexy and a heartfelt ending.  Cannot wait to see what happens with the other brothers! 4Stars

Feeling the connection has never been more adventurous!! Looking for a sweet, romantic, comic relief, and bit of mystery? Oh, and we can't forget betrayal, since you can't have a romance story without a hint of it? So look no further. Marissa delivers in all aspects.  Claire meets Will in the most comical way ever? Attraction is instant, and who doesn't enjoy that. Yet, the course of events will lead them thru some, hurt, betrayal, and finding love mixed in with trust. How far would you go to protect the ones you love?  One soul lost and hurt by betrayal, another seeking a life and adventure. Two opposites that collided with one another and enjoying the most of a bad situation.  I loved reading this book, Claire is so loyal to those who matter. It reminds of how we would do anything to protect the ones we care about. Risking our own happiness and life for others isn't always the key, but the right thing. It was nice to see her get to enjoy herself and live an adventure. Will was just what she needed to finally focus on herself.  I personally would love to find me a Will, who followed his instincts, and would do anything to demonstrate his feelings. Even going the distance and overcoming personal fears.  Oh and let's just say there are some scenes that make you blush and have you sighing. Give me a man that makes me overcome my inhibitions and join the mile high club. Lol.  Great read, I should have read it sooner, but glad I finally did. Best way to start my day. :) now I am curious of the other two Anderson brothers. Sexy as hell and they come as trio. Hot dang, I want more. ¿¿¿

Just finished reading this one and was excited to read it too.  Loved the blurb on it.  And I was not disappointed.  It was a quick paced read full of humor, lots of spice, and two very likeable characters.  Claire was hilarious and strong.  I felt for her the instant I met her.  She was so sweet and just made you want to be her friend and make things better for her.  Will was a smoking hot Marine - man I love those!  He was yum.  Loved their instant connection and the way they lit each other up.   I hope she writes for the other two Anderson brothers because they are a hot mess who need good women! I did receive this book in exchange for an honest review.  But it was a fabulous story!

This is a first time for me to read a book from the Entangled Lovestruck line, and I have to say... Sleeping with the Boss is a total fun read. It's cute, flirty and at the same time, oozing with sexiness and a little bit of suspense. Basically just makes me want to dance around to Taylor Swift (No, seriously. I really do!) Now what would you do if you experience a couple of mishaps in front of your "boss" and it's not even eight yet? Claire Maddox is the perfect example. She's a sweetheart, adorable but awkward at first meetings because of her "Claire-isms", a term her best friend labelled for her epic awkward situations - like tearing up her skirt in front of her boss while reaching down to collect her scattered stuff in an elevator. I would seriously not even want to live anymore after a stunt like that.  Now, Will Anderson, he's back to fix the company's security after being called in by the older brother about a spy in the office. And all evidence points to Claire. And as much as he wants Claire, he needs to find out if she's the spy or not.  These two characters are just so adorable, I can't help but squeal. Claire is basically every girl in history: awkward and shy and somehow a lucky one to be noticed by the oh so sexy Will Anderson. On the other hand, Will is every girl's dream. The total package: looks, fortune and an absolute sweetheart. I'd totally kill to be taken to dinner on a cruise ship and a few days out on the Bahamas. Also, his conviction that Claire is not the spy, despite what his brothers tell him is astounding.  But despite how cute this story is, I really do think everything was just so fast paced. The "falling in love" happened a little too quickly, especially from Claire. But then again, who wouldn't fall in love with this hunk after being brought to a private beach in the Bahamas for 24/7 sex?  Also, I'd definitely would have been able to play a shot game every time Will said "I hadn't noticed". I would have gotten drunk.  If you're looking for some giggles mixed with sexy times and the right amount of suspense, this contemporary romance novel is for you. And the fact that it's a first of a series too. I'm excited for the other Anderson Brothers.

ARC Courtesy of Entangled Publishing This is the first book in a new series about the Anderson Brothers. Michael, Chance and Will. They own and run the very prestigious Anderson Antiques. All these brothers sound yummy and very unique but first up is Will's story. He is a former marine who finished up 8 months ago and is now back in New York to help his brothers with the business. He is tasked with security as that is what he did in the Marines. Claire is a bit of a klutz who finds herself working temporarily at Anderson Antiques until her inheritance kicks in. She has spent the last few years caring for her sick grandparents and now she is looking forward to traveling the world and taking on a job in Cairo. These 2 meet up in a lift in what is a hilarious first meeting that had me laughing out loud. When Will arrives at the office his brothers inform him of antiques that are being stolen right under their noses and that he needs to investigate what is going on. When he discovers that the "thief" is a women who more of less matches Claire's description he decides he is going to go out of his way to prove it is not her. Because after all he has great instincts and his are saying Claire is innocent.... Join Will and Claire for many laugh out loud moments in a great little story that has a unique twist. You will be sold from beginning to end....guarantee it!!!!

This is a wonderful read! I was laughing from the start. How could you not with all of the" Claire-isms"? I was able to get lost in the book and get attached to the main character's feelings. It is nice when an author is able to write in such a way you are to get away from reality. Will is a Hero that comes home and has been hurt in an ultimate way. When Claire and Will meet it is an unusual encounter to say the least. The two characters have chemistry and it is great to see it all unfold in this book. This book has it all. You might get angry, happy, sad, laugh and you might even cry in some spots. It will keep you in suspense. I would recommend this to my family and friends.

When I start talking to characters in a book that's when I know it's one I want to tell everyone about, and Marissa Clarke has done just that. Plus it gave me a book hangover. Loved this one! Will Anderson is determined to find the company spy but when the prime suspect, Claire Williams, turns out to be the only woman to catch is eye in ages things get a little crazy. Great writing and characters make this a book everyone will want to read. It's filled with fun sexy times and just the right amount of angst and suspense. I can't wait to read about the other Anderson brothers! I highly recommend this one.

Every so often I come across a book that as soon as I finish, I am desperate to go back to the beginning and read it all over again. Sleeping with the Boss had that very effect. When Claire Maddox begins a temp position at Anderson Auctions, the last thing this sweet-natured, funny and rather clumsy lady expects is to split her skirt and have her and her exposed derrière rescued by William Anderson; former Marine, dirty-minded cheeky flirt and security specialist for Anderson Enterprises. But rescue her he does and what follows is a romantic jaunt filled with fun, flirt, passion and mystery. The chemistry between this couple is natural and it sizzles. I love it when a hero falls hard, particularly one who woo's. Will wooed and not just Claire; he captured my heart and induced a hefty dose of the swoons. He was the full perfectly imperfect package and with his honesty, acknowledgment of his mistakes and humour he was real with it. Claire was a completely loveable heroine; fabulously quirky and witty with a heart of gold, beneath the accident-prone exterior the lady is a vixen. “I think our collaboration is working very well so far. What do you think, Mr. Anderson?” “Best project I’ve ever worked on.” I adored this novel from start to finish and with some suspense, amazing romantic gestures and Will's already very appealing brothers thrown into the equation, Marissa Clarke has started this series off with a bang. If you love sexy contemporary romances this is a must-read. Meanwhile I'll await Michael and Chance's stories impatiently. Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews. Complimentary copy provided by entangled publishing in exchange for an honest review.. 3.5 cutesy stars From the very beginning, this story had my attention. Claire Williams had been leading a sheltered life. Her influential, caring and very sick grandparents had provided for her well, but the last many years had seen her reversing their roles and caring for them at the end of their lives. Finding herself time rich, but cash poor, she decides to explore her passions, and has organised a far flung trip. But before she lets loose, her friend has managed to place her in a temporary position at Anderson Auctions, which should see her through financially until her adventure begins. What she hadn't planned for was the impact of William Anderson.. William is ex military, and finds himself outside his comfort zone and back in the bosom of his brothers successful corporation. As appointed head of security, he has been called upon for investigation into a potential leak. As expected, Claire quickly becomes the potential infiltrator, and we are given a ringside seat as we watch the plot thicken. I enjoyed the interaction between this couple, starting from their initial meeting, which proved embarrassing for Claire, and her regular bloopers. William quickly found Claire an utter fascination and desperately needed to know her better.  The story contained all the elements of an entertaining romance, at a great depth and pace. With the promise of getting up close and personal with the other Anderson brothers, I think this will pan out to be a popular series from Mariss

Originally posted on my blog: Tangled Up In Books I always seem to fall hardest for books or series where you have a family or a group of friends that have really fun dynamics, and this series definitely falls into that category. I feel like not every author can quite do a good enough job separating the personalities in their characters and making them unique from each other. One of the things that makes these Anderson boys so lovable is how different they are from one another. Michael, book two, is the oldest. He's all business, suit and tie, very rigid, schedule everything and everything is precisely in it's place and neat and orderly. Then you have William, this book, in the middle. Will is more of the laid back type. He is serious and analytical in a sense, but also very playful and charming. He's really good with people and knows how to read them. He's a good problem solver which makes him perfect for his security gig. Then there's Chance, book three, the baby. He's definitely the wild one out of the bunch. He's the thrill seeker type, real adrenaline junkie, but he's also incredibly sweet and kind of perfect. The three of them could not be more different from one another and yet they have this beautiful bond and are really good at leveling each other out. It's beyond hilarious watching them push each other's buttons and tease and get on each other's cases in a loving and good natured sort of way. But they also look out for one another and have each other's backs and have this amazing blind faith in each other's word. They're a very heartwarming bunch. And the women they all lose their hearts too are just as great as the guys are! I freaking adored Claire to pieces! She's one of those characters where, if there's the slightest possibility that something could go wrong, when Claire is involved it most definitely will go wrong! That girl had me cracking up so much with all the bumbles and moments that probably would've had me horrified and locking myself in my room for the rest of my life with embarrassment if they were to happen to me. But Claire is just kinda shrugs it off and rolls with the punches. She was such an interesting and extremely fun character. I will say that even though I did have the whole company spy thing figured out instantly, it didn't take away a single bit of enjoyment in the slightest. I still really enjoyed the storyline. Oh swooniest of swoons, the romance! Will and Claire have this instant heat that was just so delicious. They easily fall into adorable bouts of banter that would leave me grinning ear to ear...and also in desperate need of some cooling off! They were the perfect blend of steamy and sweet. The bottom line is, if you love funny, witty and sweet contemporary romances filled with the types off characters you wish you could pull out of the book and hang out with in real life, you absolutely need to give this series a try. Each one you read ends up being better than the last. They're quick and easy reads that were impossible for me to put down! I'm looking forward to see what Marissa Clarke has coming in the future because this series has added her to my list of authors I will buy and read anything from!
