About the Author

Tracie Ingersoll Loy grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts which included creative writing. Her college friends said,"All good writers drink scotch". She's been perfecting it ever since in pursuit of becoming a writer.

Tracie ducked out of the corporate world of marketing and sales where she witnessed tawdry romances that she always felt would be great stories in her books. SLIP INTO the NIGHT is her first book in the Hartz Island mysteries taking place in the San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest, a location dear to her heart. DEEP INTO the NIGHT continues with the characters we we first met but mysteries abound with new discoveries. What seemed like a sleepy island is a beehive of illegal activity. Currently, Tracie is creating the 3rd book in the Hartz Island series, PEER INTO the NIGHT to be released in the fall.

Tracie lives in Northern Illinois with her husband and two dogs, a sassy cock-a-poo and a determined border collie.

I love the feel of this book. The author writes in such a way that you are drawn into the book and everything around you seems to disappear. If you're looking for a book that pulls you away, this is the one to read. It's the perfect read for a rainy day or a lazy weekend. I can't wait to read more from this author.

I LOVED this book. I was captivated and could not put it down! It is one of the few books I've read where I couldn't guess the ending or predict what was going to happen next! Taking a chance on love and living in the moment are two important lessons to take from reading Slip Into the Night. When your scared of the outcome you face, you should know that as long as you have a shot at love, you probably won't regret it. Main characters Jeannie and Kip are two ideal candidates for this way of thinking. Tracy Ingersoll Loy's way of writing is very realistic and believable. Most readers will find themselves truly hoping for good things to come for the hero and heroine. Beth, Olympia, WA.

So much thrown at you in the beginning it's nearly impossible to know what's going on and to whom.
