This book is...very helpful. If you're wondering, 'Hey, why the [insert profanity here] did Slipknot lose some steam around Iowa?', then read this. Yeah, yeah, it doesn't show Slipknot actually unmasked, but there's Google & Yahoo images for that. ...And if you are offended by the headline, you are not a true Slipknot fan.

I don't know much about the author of this book... But I will say this... He knows his stuff! Slipknot Unmasked is an depth look at the mega-metal band from Des Moines. When I bought the band's second full length album, "Iowa" I wondered why it was so terrible. This book lays it all out for you. These guys did each other dirty MANY times. They fired an original percussion player THE DAY BEFORE SIGNING WITH ROADRUNNER. They practically ousted Anders, their original vocalist, from his own band. By the way, he wrote most of the music from the first album. The perfect formula for an amazing debut album... the terrible formula for a second album. Don't get me wrong, I love Slipknot. But this book answered MANY questions I've had about the band. If you love Slipknot, pick up the book so long as you're willing to be a little disappointed in your guys!
