About the Author
Kris Matsuyama grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Washington in Seattle. She currently lives in Albany, California with her two children and works as an art director and designer. This is her first children's song and book, which was inspired by a childhood song she would sing with her cousins when she couldn't find her slippers.
Patrick Newbery began playing guitar at the age of 12, and has been arranging music since his early 20's. Growing up on the East Coast, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Bates College in Maine. He currently lives in Berkley, California and enjoys playing the steel guitar, 'ukulele, and incorporate Hawaiian influences into his own compositions.
