Slop and Swill from a Festering Mind by Brian Lewandowski

Slop and Swill from a Festering Mind is a collection of many of the humorous essays Brian Lewandowski has penned over the years. Politically and topically in tune with the world, he has assembled such greats as "Pia Zadora's Head", "Stuff I Wish I Hadn't Thought About", and "Golden Afro Jesus"... along with a plethora of his stand-up bits and writing seen on his brianlewandowski web site.

About the Author:
Brian has always had a penchant for humor writing and catchy, observant satire. Beginning with his early days of stand-up and culminating in his daily updated website/blog, his wry and often derisive comments are usually the very one's you wish you had to make.... sometimes Liberal but never Conservative. Brian currently writes for television, lives in the Boston area and listens attentively to his wife, daughter and cat. On the side, he works with digital photography. He has quite a few choice shots of his neighbors being naked.

This Lewandowski guy is funny. I'm talking laugh-out-loud, neurotic, twisted funny. He can be rude, he can be crude, and he quite often is far from being politically correct. His essays are quirky trips: There's one about his friend Todd who wants to offer an IPO on himself as 'eTodd.' There's a soap opera report that is truly hysterical, cruel parking lot games, and so much more. When I come home from work and think the world is totally screwed up I read a little of this book. Then I know the world really is screwed up, and Brian Lewandowski is out there finding the offbeat humor in the everyday.

I found this book to be very entertaining. It's the kind of book you can pick up time and again and get a kick out of Brian's take on life. His irreverent humor makes me think of deeper issues. I leave it out for friends to pick up and it always sparks a good conversation.

I had no clue who this guy was until I visited A few reads and I had to have this book. From page to page there are enough laughs here to make even the grimmest grump smile. Topics cover politics, stupid people and more. It all the stuff you wish you had said.
