I want to squeeze this book in because if baking is your thing, small bites make a good afternoon tea. Rather than large cakes, the recipes here are for slices, muffins, cookies and savory loaves. Some whole cakes are included, but the recipes are for small ones yielding six to eight slices each. One that turned out well for me was a pistachio and lemon cake, which had an interesting topping of lemon, lime and chopped pistachio nuts. Good too are quick and easy nut brownies, banana loaf and everyone's favorite, blueberry muffins. The directions are easy to follow and the pictures are good.
