Shane Snow is a New York City–based journalist and Web entrepreneur, and the cofounder and chief creative officer of the media technology company Contently. He holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University and is a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. Snow contributes regularly to Wired magazine and Fast Company, and has written about innovation for numerous publications, including the New Yorker, the Washington Post, and Advertising Age. This book is exceptional. It's not the typical self-help business book. It provides examples through history of individuals and companies that have been able to take "smartcuts" to success. While hindsight is 20-20, Snow also makes it easy to see how we can implement some of the same strategies in our lives. While reading this book, I was able to relate its lessons to my life and career, and I was able to re-evaluate how I'm doing things so that my efforts are more effective. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur, owns a business or manages a product, or who just wants to be successful in life.
