This book is one of a kind: Education, Poetry, and Philosophy. This book is a work of art. It educates, entertains, and enlightens. It is filled with the most famous quotes ever written on education. In addition the book contains world famous poems read by students the world over. It weaves together,"15 Stumbling Blocks of Academic Failure"into a tour-de-force. And then transforms them into "15 Stepping Stones to Academic Success." The book introduces the most pressing education problems of our lifetime and then attempts to resolve the problems by connecting the invisible dots that contribute to the problem. This book is required reading in my school. The book changed the way I see the world.

This is the first comprehensive book ever written that clearly illustrates the magnitude of the national crisis in education: Elementary, high school, and college. Transforming the 15 stumbling blocks of academic failure into the 15 stepping stones of academic success will revolutionize the American education system for all students, and ultimately, give America the competitive advantage in the global marketplace. This book is a the lighting rod for overhauling a malfunctioning American education system.

What I enjoyed most about this book is hearing the truth, a rare and elusive commodity in this day and age of hyperbole. This book is an emotional roller coaster of academic heartbreak and triumph. This book opens the door that will allow the American education system to reinvent itself and once again earn the world's respect. I hope and pray that I see these changes take effect in my lifetime so that my grandchildren will be able to develop to their cognitive abilities to their full potential.

This book is a wake-up call and a call to action for teachers, parents, and students. Teachers around the country have voted for this book to become the final book selection for Oprah Winfrey's Book Club. This would catapult the educational innovations into the mainstream: 1. The New Learning Technology 2. The Universal Gold Standard of Education 3. The 3 Criteria for Measuring Education 4. The 7 Goalposts of an Excellent Education 5. The New Learning-Processing Education System

This in a revolutionary book because Americans can get a real glimpse into the malfunctioning American education system that is even failing to educate "America's Brightest Minds." This book's title should really be called, "All You Ever Wanted to Know About the American Education System, But Are Too Ignorant to Ask."

Many of the educational innovations cited in this book have been implemented in my classroom. It is up to every teacher to effect the required changes that will bring "in-depth-comprehension, long-term retention, and academic mastery" back into the classroom so that students will earn a "diploma and an education." This book is the critical contribution that unlocks the mystery of why America has fallen down the slippery slope into 18th place on the world's stage.

First, Ms. Sugar cites the facts of the most pressing problems plaguing the American education system. Second, she cites the complex and compound variables that comprise the problem. Third, she resolves most of the education problems by using system management tools. Finally, educators just have to plug in her solutions and get the same results: All students possess a powerful human brain and are able to achieve academic success. Brava! I am an ardent and devoted fan.

My child was falling behind, floundering, failing, and falling through the cracks of the American education system. My child was put on psychotropic drugs. The guidance counselor referred me to Ms. Sugar, and now my child is a Straight-A-Grade student with a bright future ahead of her. What more can any parent ask for. Ms. Sugar is more than a learning specialist, she is a human angel.

This books covers a great deal of uncharted territory. Ms. Sugar has helped college students, high school students and elementary students achieve academic success. She is an education warrior. She pioneered the NEW LEARNING TECHNOLOGY (EVERY DAY AN EASY A). She knows what she is talking about and has important lessons to teach. Everyone will find this book helpful. This book closes down prisons and retires armies. LET THERE BE LIGHT.

This books tells you what everyone really thinks and feels, but can't get into words. I love the title of this book. I love the cover photo. I love the book. I had my copy autographed by the author. Ms. Sugar turned my floundering and failing child into a Straight-A-Grade student. I owe her a world of thanks for her support and courage in the face of a antiquated American education system.

America spends more money on education than any other country in the world and hasn't a clue as to why her education system is failing to make the grade. This book explains all the nitty gritty details and solves the mystery. This book will open the mind and heart of all American educators, parents, and students. This book is a shining light that will lead the way out of the dark and dangerous tunnel.

This is the first book of its kind to help American parents climb over the "15 Stumbling Blocks of Academic Failure" that undermine their child's education and bright future. I love the way the author connects the dots between the failing American education system and the American medical system. This book is brilliant.

Finally, critical changes are being made across America thanks to the brilliant ideas presented in this book. It is up to every educator to begin implementing the ideas contained within this book. It is a grass roots initiative. If every teacher made one significant change per month, within a year, the education landscape would be drastically altered and all American students would be able to achieve academic success.

Ms. Sugar has consolidated an enormous collection of detailed data that is not available to the general public. She has culled the facts from the underground student publications that report the news that educators sweep under the carpet. I have implemented many of her innovations in my classroom and my students reap the rewards: (1) New Grading System (2) The Universal Gold Standard of Education (3) New Learning Technology What I like most about this book is that Ms. Sugar tells you the unvarnished truth from her experience on the frontlines as a academic intervention specialist. Her experience is vast: College, High school, and elementary students (ages 6-98). There is no feel good psychobabble or sugar coated realities that undermine working on and solving the real problem of the "elephant in the room." In time this book will become required reading for all educators and all Americans.

The seven goalposts of an excellent education are my favorite and I hung them up in my classroom and had my students memorize them. This is a very intelligent book written with a pen that draws blood, not ink. I am a better educator because of this book and my students will reap the rewards of my new found enlightenment. An American classic, for sure.

You will remember every story ever told in this book because it is an emotional roller coaster ride of academic heartache and triumph. Read it on a full stomach. Don't read it before bedtime because you will not be able to sleep. The magnitude of the problem is beyond belief, however, there is a light at the end of the tunnel if we can transform the American education system into a "Learning-Processing System."

The author may have some serious mental health issues. Ms Rose Sugar is the "world famous" poet, Sharon Esther Lambert, to whom she refers in the book, as well as the super hero and possibly even the piano-playing cat. Parents, educators and psychiatrists are all clueless, while the author knows how to fix the broken system. Oh, and that fix appears to be a set of multi-colored folders, available through the Great American Notebook Company. Want to guess the president of said notebook company?

This book really cuts deep into the core issues that hold America back. American students are ill prepared for college work, let alone for the 21st century. This book should be required reading.

This is the most important book ever written on the American education system because, Ms. Sugar, is able to elucidate the major and minor academic stumbling blocks that impede students in their pursuit of an education. In time, this book will be required reading for all politicians, educators, parents, and students.

It is so unfortunate that the author did not have more supporting data to prove her hypothesis. Ms. Sugar or Lampert is basically correct that the US educational system is broken, however, her "my way only" approach to fixing the problem is her mistake. She may have been successful on a small scale but I believe her goal is not saving the world by utilization of her process to change. Her goal is self promotion, having everyone everywhere bow down and make her Queen of the universe and give her a blank check. So she can save the world!! She has explained to herself a million times that she is the smartest, sexiest, human ever. In her little egocentric world she is...I can't imagine her having many friends with that everyone is wrong but me attitude. It just seems a shame because she is a really smart girl who needs to eat some humble pie. Maybe take some business classes....because with her I KNOW EVERYTHING attitude NO ONE is going to bankroll her ego anytime soon.

this book simply states the author's opinion. it purports to be evidence based but the author simply states her opinion over and over for her own purposes. if you want to make a donation to the author, buy the book but don't waste your time reading it.

This book is the only hope America has for coming to terms with the underlying issues that contribute to America's inability to overhaul her malfunctioning education system.

This is the worst book I've read in years. It is intellectually insubstantial and poorly written.
