This book was great. Roni and Brian have to team up in this book to find one of their kidnapped classmates, Alicia Camden. With everyone seeming to be a suspect and confusing clues that don't seem to make sense this book crafts a web of suspense and humor and creates a great ending. You should really read this book. It was great! I give it two thumbs up!!!

In this book, Snatched by Pete Hautman and Mary Logue, Alicia Camden is abducted while she was waiting for her mom to pick her up. This mystery brings together an unlikely team. A junior named Roni who is a reporter for the high school newspaper, and Brian a freshman who's extremely smart. Together they team up to try and solve the mystery of who abducted Alicia. I thought this was a good book because it had many twists and turns. I would recommend this book to young teens who like mysteries like Roni and Brian when there trying to find the person who snatched Alicia. I would also recommend this book to young teens who like funny books because in this book Brian and Roni end up in some funny situations like when they went to Nun Island searching for a boat. Girl or boy you will love this book. To find out what happens to Alicia, Brian, and Roni make sure you read Snatched.

When a classmate disappears, Roni Delicata, crime reporter for the school newspaper the Bloodwater Pump, can't resist the challenge of figuring out who snatched her. With a sidekick slightly reminiscent of Encyclopedia Brown, and a charming disregard for fashion, Roni sets out to solve the case. There are plenty of suspects to choose from, from the missing teen's ex-boyfriend and her estranged father to the spacey Butterfly Man. But the truth may just prove stranger than any of the odd people Roni and Brian run across.A bit simplistic but at least the ending wasn't a foregone conclusion. The issues covered - kidnapping, child abuse, etc., are certainly serious enough, but Brian and Roni make an amusing team. Hopefully in future adventures it will read a bit less like Encyclopedia Brown solves the case, though.

Light and airy. Roni and Brian meet outside the principal's office when they both get in trouble. They again run into each other outside a classmate's house after she has been kidnapped. Then Roni quickly enlists Brian's aid in helping her solve the story of Alicia's kidnapping. The story is told in alternating viewpoints - Roni, Brian, and Alicia's. This helps add to the suspense, especially when the ending is a bit anti-climactic.

This story revolves around three high school students; one of which has gone missing, while the other two risk their lives to find her. Roni, an assertive and intelligent school newspaper reporter teams up with Brian, an Asian American with loves chemistry. They spend their time searching for Alicia, she has been physically abused, neglected, and now has gone missing in a small town in Minnesota. The two young detectives must interview and analyze an array of different characters, as well as piece together clues that will lead them to Alicia. However, even when the police think they have the criminal, they may find that nothing is as it appears.

Roni, the hot-shot school newspaper reporter, and Brian, the young science whiz who is frequently sent to the principal for some "small problem" with test tubes in the science room, seem to have little in common. But the two team up to solve the mystery of the "snatching" of popular Alicia. The beginning book of a mystery series, this is pretty good, but more for the lower end of the teen scale.

Alicia Camden, a high school student, disappears suddenly and Roni Delicata and Brian Bain decide to find her themselves. The book includes many suspects and quite a few red herrings. If you like mysteries, you'll love this one. The sequel is called Skullduggery.
