About the Author

Rene Abril was born into a newspaper family on the Caribbean island of Cuba. Named by Cristobal Colombo as the Pearl of the Greater Antilles. In 1961 he was exiled to Miami, Florida. Mr. Abril expresses his gratitude to the CIA and Operation Peter Pan, a little publicized, successful effort, which responsibly expatriated more than fourteen thousand underage children to the United States. Presently, apart from writing novels, Mr. Abril contributes much his discretionary time to democratic causes. Primarily focused on strengthening the principles of free enterprise conjunctively with the socially enhancing accoutrements of single payer, universal healthcare.
