So I Married a Highlander by Kate McKinley

A Lady's Rules of Etiquette When Eloping:

1. A lady should never leave a note behind explaining her intentions.

2. If by chance a note has been left behind, a lady must prepare to be hunted down and the ceremony thwarted.

3. In such a case, seeking consolation with a night of excessive drinking will be tempting, but ill advised.

4. And lastly, a lady must never, under any
circumstances, wake up manacled to a deliciously handsome Highlander.

Lady Evelyn Alexander has managed to break all four rules in the space of an evening--and the tall, virile Highlander she accidentally married is only the beginning. Her fiancé has also mysteriously gone missing and the threat of scandal is hot on their heels...

Alec McAllister has no use for a wife, but when he wakes up entwined with the lovely and spirited Evelyn, he's willing to reconsider. He'll help her find her fiancé, but when the passions ignite between them, it's only a matter of time before the Highlander claims what's his...

121 pages.....a very ubrupt ending, so, so disapointing. This book could have been great, but it fell apart at the end. The grammer even fell apart along with the story line. Too had. I was going to purchaee book three, but now i don't feel I will.

Ms McKinley tells a pretty good story, but the painfully inept editing and unimaginatve ending ruined a pleasant read.

Lady Evelyn Alexander has decided to take matters into her own hand and go to Gretna Green and elope. After a twist of events and a blacked-out night, she ends up married to highlander Alec McAllister and her real fiance is missing. Alec insists on accompanying her to Glasgow to find him, if only to convince her to keep him instead. This was a really funny story with a number of hot parts to it. I really liked both characters and read the story in one sitting. I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend this story to anyone that likes this genre. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

# 2 in the "What Happens in Scotland" series, but can be read as a stand alone. A fun, sweet romance with a Scottish Blacksmith and a English Duke's sister as the main characters. Witty banter, passion, an unexpected marriage, searching for a misplaced fiance and finding true love, makes for an adventurous romp though the Scottish countryside. Well written tale with a true Romantic climax. The characters are engaging, witty, endearing, passionate and romantic. But the heroine must make some life changing decisions, can she give up her Scottish Blacksmith to do as her brother wishes and marry an Englishman instead? Or will true love win out and they find their HEA. A wonderful, fast paced story from beginning to end. An enjoyable and satisfying read! Fans of romance, Historical Scotland and England, will enjoy this story of love, passion and acceptance. I absolutely adored this story! Great Scottish Romance! *Received for an honest review from the publisher via Net Gallery* Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR, courtesy of My Book Addiction and More
