About the Author

Taryn discovered her love for books at an early age, spending many hours lost in someone else's story.

It wasn't until well into adult hood that she discovered, late at night while the house was quiet, that she had just as many stories inside her just waiting to be let out. Writing has been a way for her to step away from reality and live a bit through her fun and sometimes damaged characters. You will almost always find a Happy Ever After at the end of her stories. She can't help it, it's an addiction.

She's a Southwestern girl living a Mid-Atlantic life with her husband of seventeen years and two incredible daughters who inspire her daily. She is proud to be an advocate for her child with autism, and feels incredibly blessed to be able to see the world through her eyes. Her daughters teach her more than she could ever teach them.

She enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her family, but cherishes those quiet nights after everyone is asleep when she can curl up on the couch with her fifteen year old dog. (Shh, don't tell...He's not supposed to be on the couch.)
Keep an eye out for more from her!

Cute and entertaining. Lovely couple. Loved the ending.

She's a powerhouse. Blake is equally likeable. The book is not deep and enthralling, but it's enjoyable.

Funny! This was cute, funny and more realistic than most things I’ve read! Well written!

I actually enjoyed Avery's character, she was a hot mess but her quirkiness and cute but sarcastic humor made up for it....until she became a ridiculous drunk over something not quite clear and over someone not worth it. She didn't love Jim, he sucked in bed and she had already admitted things were stale, why get so angry at Blake for his part in her breakup with Jim is beyond me! Which also leaves me to Blake's stupid ass reasoning for not telling her the truth about Jim, that didn't even make sense to me. I did like how Blake and Avery became friends first then gradually fell in love! That whole insta-love scenario is one of my biggest pet peeves! They were stupid for pulling away the way they did, but they were cute together. I didn't care to much for Morgan, she was way to pushy, always wanting her way and I dislike characters like hers. Overall it was a short and somewhat cutesy read, unfortunately it didn't hold enough juice to keep me interested in this series.. SR

I enjoyed reading this book. It was short, though.... I wish the story would continue, maybe in another book?

I love friends to lover stories, and this one was a great one!!  Blake and Avery become the best of friends, and realize they are so much more.  It is a fast read but a good one.  A sweet story that made me smile.  This is the first book I have read by Taryn Plendl, but it will not be my last!

I enjoyed the first 2/3 of this book then it just fell off the cliff. The two main characters were believable and enjoyable and then BAM they weren't. Avery turned from smart and funny to a crying drunk who needed her BFF to make her take a shower for goodness sake! And Blake was not much better. His reason for not telling Avery the truth was pretty lame. Then all of sudden, they made up and had sex! Okay bood but not great.

I love friends to more romances! It’s just one of those plots that could happen, and that for me makes it all the sweeter. Avery is a romance writer; Blake is a fun-loving playboy. Avery writes about men and women, but has a very uneventful love life. Blake, on the other hand, has a very active “social” life. When he and Avery meet at the gym, he just wants to help her. So, as their friendship progresses, he continues to help her in ways that he thinks she needs and deserves. He takes it a step too far, however, and really infuriates Avery. Faced with this situation, he is forced to look at his feelings for Avery. Is it more than friendship? Could it be (gasp!) love? I loved the dual POV of this book! It was needed, in my opinion, to really give the full scope of the characters and story, and it was done well. The characters in this story are also great. I thought Avery was spunky and wonderful; her voice was so much fun to read. I have found that when the heroine in a romance novel is a romance novelist, they are some of the funniest and most fun characters…coincidence? I think not! Blake is one of those playboys with a heart of gold. Once he finds a woman he can respect and learn, he’s wonderful. One of my favorite parts of books like this is the buildup. I love the slow burn, the friends to more dynamic, and this author pulled it off spectacularly. This was a short and fun read that I was engrossed and entertained by. 4.5 stars! This was a really cute, short, sweet story. I don't have anything deep to say about it, other than it was a cute, feel good book.

"So Much More (Chrome Series #1)" by Taryn Plendl 5 out of 5 stars (and then some) Picture's late and the husband is asleep.  I can't sleep and I decide to start a new book.  I'm trying to hold my Nook in such a way that the light doesn't wake him up (because I know he'll fuss that I'm reading instead of sleeping).  I start the book and immediately have to put a hand over my mouth because it is ridiculously funny.  Now I'm hooked into a book that I'm desperately trying not to laugh with (or else I'll wake the hubs), hold my Nook with one hand (since the other is over my mouth), and quaking in delight so much that I almost fell out of the bed (on more than one occasion)!  That was my experience with "So Much More" by Taryn Plendl! Avery is maybe one of the funniest female leads I've read in a long time.  She's smart and possesses a razor sharp wit that knows no bounds.  She never takes herself too seriously and has no problems aiming her humor at herself.  I loved how willing she was to try new things even when she knew she was probably going to hate the experience.  Avery is someone I could easily see myself hanging out with and having an insanely good time.  She is a welcome breath of fresh air in a world over-saturated with damsels in distress. Blake is a guy worth investing in.  He loves Avery's humor and appreciates her in a way that has you falling head over heals for him.  He's good looking but isn't in your face about it and never arrogant.  He's playful and protective and values the friendship he has with Avery above all else.  Blake is the perfect match for Avery in the wit department and their banter is light and infectious. I LOVED the slow build in their relationship that Plendl uses.  While they definitely have chemistry from the start it was really cool seeing the friendship develop first.  It creates a solid foundation for them and allows the flames of attraction to be stoked into a raging inferno.  This is a couple worth your time and investment. Plendl's style is so easy to read.  I flew through the book in one setting (shh, don't tell my husband) and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!  While I love a good drama, what Plendl has done is create a story oozing with humor and wry wit that keeps you on your toes and clenching your stomach with laughter.  If I could give her more stars I wouldn't hesitate!  This one is a must buy!! *I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.* Shannon, My Secret Book Spot

OMG I loved this book! Ok so Avery is such an awesome leading lady. She is funny and sarcastic and just makes you root for her. Then there is Blake who comes off kind of like your best friends older brother that you fall in love with. SO they meet in a gym where her friend made her go to work out together. From there on they fall for each other. The thing is that neither one knows about how the others feel. Will fate let them find the nerve to tell each other? You have to read this. I was laughing the whole time. Getting strange looks because I am laughing out loud while staring at my ipad. It was so nice to finally read a funny romance where they are friends first. It was a nice change of pace. This is an awesomely, funny amazing read that will suck you in from the first page and leave you wanting more by the end!
