Sol by Matthew J Carvalho

"Good people think we're lost in the desert, wandering souls who don't know what's good for them. They think we're just a bunch of kids lost in the big city. They think we need to be taken care of, that we need parents, guardians; that we're dirty, dumb and derelict. Well, they're wrong about one thing: we sureazshit ain't dumb. Now they think something's wrong; failure rates out of variance. Food spoilage rates don't follow standard distribution. They think there's a few rogue Mudkips with violent tendencies."

Do you liek Mudkips?

About the Author

Matthew Carvalho is a self-published author and SOL is his second full length novel with CreateSpace. He has a BA in International Relations from San Francisco State University and a Masters in Diplomacy/Global Commerce from Norwich University. He has been, in turn, a children's counselor for emotionally disturbed children, a US Peace Corps Volunteer, and currently works as a manager for a Silicon Valley medical equipment manufacturer. His primary influences include Frank Herbert, Iaian Banks, Joseph Campbell, Greg Bear, and Neal Stephenson. He lives with his wife Norma (to whom OLD HOPE ROAD is dedicated) and their three dogs, Elsa, Arni and Figaro in the city of Gilroy, California. His primary hobby, after his wife and dogs, is, oddly enough, writing; although Facebook and Twitter probably come in a close second - just ask his wife.
