It's disturbing yet interesting that the female characters in the first two books were molested or abused and now need rough sex and/or to be dominated to enjoy sex. There is something so wrong about that, I'm hesitant to read the remaining books in the series. It tends to be uncomfortable. If this scenario doesn't bother you, go for it. The story is interesting.
