Well-crafted story, characters that are fully developed and story line that captures your interest immediately. Reminiscent of Dresden files, Firefly, or a Miles Vorkosigan adventure. Rarely have I come across such a well-written book as a freebie. Thanks and keep up the good work!

The beginning will lead you to believe there is going to be a slow go but the story leaps at you from the moment Gideon deplanes!! From the spunky dodger to the ever watchful Draco it's a never ending run around the city. This is a must read and I cannot wait to start the next book!!

I would call this a typical soldier anti-hero turned hero, bad guy with a heart of gold who turns out to be a good guy. Funny and smart, with decent character development and a fast read. If you like the genre, it’s for you

The book is good and had a good plot. Would like to have known more on what the main character was doing while everyone else was setting the stage. I also had a little trouble following the story line in the beginning. Would recommend the book.

I found humor and sayings not often found in this type of genre. A fun book and thought provoking without being maudlin.

Enjoyed reading this one very much. A lot of action, and a couple of unlikely hero's make this a great adventure.
