I have read several books on the vietnam war and this one is to say the least one of my favorites.. I enjoy how it's divided up to several different people's stories..

Great info on the fighting in Nam This book goes into great depth on the different perspectives of the war. Each person puts their own special mix into their part making the overall book great.

The emotion from the soldiers is felt through their words. It has given me a better perspective of the men in battle, the terrain where they fought, as well as an appreciation for the Vietnam Veterans and their families.

I felt a great sense of pride and now have a greater appreciation for our troops that served in Vietnam. Reading the personal accounts and learning more of the daily horrors our troops were confronted with was better than learning it out of a school text book. The book is truly inspirational and a great testament to the honor and courage our troops displayed under the worst combat conditions.
