"The Solitary Envoy" is an interesting story posed against a historical backdrop. It details the journey of a young woman courageous enough to defy societal expectations and follow the path untrod. However, the story contains several historical inaccuracies in English etiquette, society, and class structure. The plot is largely predictable, and the Christian message is also undeveloped, leaving the reader unsure of what Erica experiences. Her salvation is not explicitly mentioned; instead, she comes to "accept" God and her former attitudes "melt away." Although I found it interesting, I wouldn't read it again.

This is the last in a series 5 Books. The series is called Heirs of Acadia.  You should read them in order. 1) The Solitary Envoy  2) The Innocent Libertine  3) The Nobel Fugitive  4) The Night Angel  5) Falconer's Quest. I love these authors.

I enjoyed this story. I agree that it was on the predictable side, I still found the story enjoyable. I don't read Christian books to be presented the salvation message. It is an intriguing historical time, and the anti-slavery movement is certainly pertinent to the world today.

A most charming story. Well worth the reading of it.

The heroine was a bit unbelievable-not feminine. Christian conversion is left in doubt due to lack of mentioning Christ. A bit odd. Overall good but still lacking.

Well written, not preachy but informative. It may be fiction but it is really well done.
