In her debut publication, Solitude and Solace, Hritvika traces her journey from a point of isolation in her life towards finding security within, and the reconciliation that bridged this journey. The book is divided into three parts, each exploring a certain state of mind and the psyche of a person coming to terms with their own emotional state. The book aims to assist those going through rough patches in their lives and bring them closer to their own individual selves by offering a medium of introspection.

About the Author

The author belongs to the beautiful, picturesque town of Dehra in the foothills of the Himalayas. Surrounded by hills covered with pines, fir, silver oaks, and blooms of gulmohur and jacaranda, the town offers a perfect ambience to unleash thoughts, allowing words to flow spontaneously out of the poetic vessel.

Hritvika has more than 50 poems to her credit. The poet touches the deepest chord in the mind of the reader by talking about nature, everyday life, internal conflicts, and by offering a journey through her own mind. Some of her poems are a scathing dissection of contemporary society. She also writes under the pen name Hazel Lance.
