Editorial Reviews

Independent (London)
...beautifully written...It's dark material, but Penhall handles it with a light touch. He doesn't romanticize Ray, neither does he vilify his brother, and their relationship is riveting.
NY Times
...a sensitive and entirely unsentimental work in which every character suffers more than he or she deserves...purposeful, but it isn't polemical. The characters are too carefully and credibly drawn for that.
