Someone Like You is another fantastic novel by Victoria Bylin. I think that what I appreciated about this book was the depth of the characters and the complex issues each of them was facing. The story takes place at Caliente Springs, a resort in California. Zeke manages the place and is doing his best to save the resort in order to prevent so many he cares about from losing their jobs. In a desperate attempt to get more clients to hold events at the resort, he enlists the help of an event planning company which sends a planner to the resort to check it out. The planner happens to be Julia, Zeke's college girlfriend who he has not seen in many years. As I mentioned earlier, readers get to know these characters very well throughout the book. Julia is a fairly new Christian who is growing in her faith while dealing with being a single mom, a difficult ex, balancing work and family, etc. Zeke has been a Christian for a long time, but is having his own faith struggles as he has distanced himself from God and the life he used to lead. Read the book to meet Zeke and Julia and many other great characters including quite a fun-loving goat and to find out if Caliente Springs can be saved!! I look forward to more of her books in the future. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is the second novel I’ve read from this author and once again I met with a very realistic story, full of real life characters and problems and joys. The plot was simple, but strong and kept me reading to see what would happen with both the resort and the big wedding plans. I enjoy those stories where the characters are working together to accomplish a big goal. I found myself rooting for them from the start. Oh, and I love the romantic cover too. So pretty! My favorite character in the book was Zeke. His past still haunts him and he’s struggling in his faith, but he’s also very honest and considerate. He’s a wonderful boss and a kind friend to all who know him. His compassion and love for Julia endeared me to him throughout the whole book. I also enjoyed the secondary love story between two other characters. The contemporary genre is not always my favorite to read, so I didn’t connect with the book quite as much as I believe the right audience of contemporary fans will. Parts of it seemed predictable and even trivial to me at times, but there were still cute moments to savor. Someone Like You ended with sweet satisfaction for this reader and I’m sure it will meet the heart’s desire of many other readers too. This review is my honest opinion. Thanks to Bethany House Publishers for my copy.

Julia Dare is a single mom and a new christian. She feels guilt about not having married Hunter Adams, Max's dad, but she knew she could never marry a man like that, not since finding God. She could thank her college sweetheart Zeke for that. Zeke had a heart for God and tried to share Christ with Julia, but she wouldn't listen. That was so long ago, now she's learning to trust God in everything and she took a leap of faith and opened Dare to Dream Events. It's hard standing on her own two feet, especially with an ex like Hunter just waiting and expecting her to fail. She's worried Max will end up like his dad, an egomaniac who uses people, but she's determined to trust God no matter what happens. Besides if she makes too much of a fuss, Hunter may take Max away. Zeke Monroe is a good man but he's running a sinking ship. Caliente Springs in is desperate need of a makeover and a huge influx of cash. Not for his sake necessarily, but for the 200 employees under him. He can hear his dad's voice telling him how he's disappointing God and he needs to be stronger, but frankly Zeke has had it with God. He tried to be a good christian but that didn't work. He tried to hard and kept almost all the rules and yet he failed. He didn't need God, what he needed was to find a way to save Caliente Springs. Proverbs 3:5-6 is a message woven through out the book. The message comes across loud and clear without being too preachy, whether it's Zeke trying to save Caliente Springs for the Travers Twins or Julia taking Dare to Dream Events to the next level. God will get you through whatever you face, but it may not be in your time or on your terms. Someone like you by Victoria Bylin has quickly become one of my favorite books. The colorful characters and heartfelt message will hook you from the beginning. The story keeps a steady pace and has enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end. The book wasn't all serious it had funny parts too especially where ladybug was concerned. I'll let you read the book to figure out who that is :)

Someone Like You takes the reader on quite a ride. Julie Dare begins a new business to provide for her son who she shares custody with his father whom she did not marry. She runs into an old beau, Zeke when she bids on a project at the resort where he is the general manager. Between a crazy goat, her son’s father’s ego, and trying to pull off the wedding of the century she must keep all the balls in the air as she faces one dilemma after another. Zeke is trying to save the resort from being sold and if Julie can produce all she says she can do he may be able to keep his dream job. He has stopped believing in God and Julie is a new Christian so how do they manage all that’s thrown at them? This delightful novel includes family, faith, relationships, and forgiveness. I received a copy of Someone Like You from NetGalley and the author.

Loved this romance. Love how well Julie and Zeke get along. They had known each other in college and then broke up. Julie could not handle Zeke's religion at the time. Now she has become a Christian and Zeke is having doubts. Julie and her son Max along with her mother come to the resort that Zeke runs to plan a wedding to help the resort get more business. I did not want to put this book down. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion.

Someone Like You is a beautiful love story. The characters are talently written. They feel like friends who have let us watch a segment of their lives. The setting was perfect. And Ladybug's addition was just right for a humorous touch. Very clever to have a cantankerous goat for comic relief. Hunter, as the antagonist, was easy to dislike. His narcissistic arrogance was quite believable and Julia handled him very well. Zeke was going through a time in his life where he was questioning his faith. I think that happens to a lot of us at one time or another. His struggles and thought process during this time were portrayed very realistically. I loved Ellen. She was a great mother/grandmother figure. She loved her daughter and grandson and helped them however she could. She was a woman of faith as was shown by her actions. She and George were just so darn cute. A good story showing how God works in our lives. He loves us just the way we are. I liked this story very much. I hope if you are in the market for a contemporary Christian romance you will consider checking out this book. I think you will enjoy it.I know I did. Let me know what you think.

Someone Like You is the latest novel from Victoria Bylin. You meet Zeke Monroe on the opening pages of this book. Zeke is the general manager at Caliente Springs resort and he has a big problem on his hands. Zeke must save not only this resort from bankruptcy, but also the jobs of the two hundred plus employees on his staff. When Zeke learns that Julia Dare, a face from his past, is arriving for a business meeting, he is not sure what will transpire next! Years ago Zeke and Julia met and dated in college; however, their relationship ended with Zeke under a cloud of guilt. He has no idea what will happen when they meet again. After they meet. it quickly appears that the old feelings are still alive! As Zeke and Julia begin to renew their friendship, neither one can believe how the other's belief in God has made an about face! This is an interesting tale as both Julia and Zeke have their eyes on saving this resort. You will not believe all the trouble they will encounter along the way. You wonder through all the chaos if Julia's new faith will continue to grow and if Zeke will find his way back to his heavenly Father who has never stopped loving him? http://penlessreview.blogspot.com/

As I began reading this book and wondering what I love about Victoria's stories I realized it's this strong sense of story world. She creates these unique atmospheres for her characters and we get to be there. I have loved each book of Victoria's that I have read and this book strikes a strong chord in my heart. It was so interesting see how Zeke and Julia's lives crossed and then uncrossed (for lack of a better word) and the choices they made. They both carry a lot of regret, the good news is Julia has found the redeeming love of Christ. The bad news is Zeke once knew that love and has walked away from it. I couldn't wait to see how Jesus would draw Zeke back to his heart and probably use Julia to do that. Overall, another great read by Victoria. If you haven't had the chance to read anything by her yet I encourage you to pick up one her books, I don't think you will be disappointed. A copy of this book was given to me through Netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.

This is one of those books that just make you feel good! Victoria Bylin did a great job of putting together a few intertwined storylines that make you fall in love with the characters without feeling like you can predict everything that will happen. The love story between Zeke and Julia is sweet and develops quickly, but somehow doesn’t seem too rushed. The love story involving Julia’s mother is comical and I did not foresee it happening! The challenges and struggles with faith and relationships are realistic and helped in relating to the characters. This is the classic story: boy and girl fall in love but end up going separate ways. Fate brings them together again, when life is more complicated, but they find that the flame is still lit. Slowly, they help one another with big life issues and inevitably fall in love. Mix in some super fun details, great characters, and unexpected turns and this book is a winner! One of my favorite things about this book is the simple Christian influence and clean language. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a fellow romance reader!

I loved this book, Someone Like You, written by Victoria Bylin! The story centers on Julia Dare, a woman who’s learned life lessons the hard way, and her college sweetheart Zeke Monroe. When Julia is sent to Caliente Springs on business, she stops Zeke’s heart (not literally). Seeing Julia again is like a walk down Memory Lane for him and he finds feelings that he’d locked away breaking through to the surface. But time, along with trials, has changed both Julia and Zeke. Julia has a son with her ex-beau Hunter, who is a world-class player and someone who she does not want in her life. Zeke’s had a fall from grace and still struggles with the effects of his bad decisions. The reader realizes from the start that if Julia and Zeke are going to rekindle their romance and work as a couple, they have to overcome their inner and outer struggles. The author takes the reader by the hand at the start of this story then lets them run wild with the characters and enjoy the journey through the end. She writes in a way that you feel like you’re watching a romantic drama on the big screen. The A-story (main focus) is about Zeke and Julia but there’s also a B-story (subplot) that focuses on Julia’s Mom, a widow who finds love again. The main plot and subplot are written with great skill and care. The author makes her character’s life and backstory realistic and addresses issues that happen in this modern day world. It’s clean fiction but it’s very real too. The characters wrestle with issues like purity, innocence lost, regret, hope, heartbreak and second time around romance. It truly is an enjoyable read worth every ounce of a five-star rating! Bravo, Bylin for a book that’s memorable and beautiful! *Litfuse Publicity Group provided WriterHeart with a complimentary copy of "Someone Like You" in exchange for an honest review.

There is a giveaway. Click here to enter. I would have bought this one because of the cover! Speaks 'Dreamy' to me. This is probably the best cover I've seen all year. The inside's not too shabby either. What it's about . . . (provided by Litfuse) Single mom Julia Dare has a lot on her plate. A brand new Christian, Julia is busy trying to run her own business, spend time with her widowed mother, and raise her young son, Max, despite his father’s less-than-ideal influence on him. When a big account from her event-planning business sends her to the Caliente Springs resort, she’s shocked to come face-to-face with Zeke Monroe, the resort’s general manager and her college sweetheart. With his faith in tatters, Zeke Monroe is determined to keep the historic Caliente Springs resort running despite financial difficulties. But when Julia walks back into his life, he can’t ignore the feelings she stirs up. As they work together on an important client’s dream wedding, the fate of the resort soon depends on their success. When Zeke and Julia are pushed to their limits both personally and professionally, will their history put up walls between them or bring them together? And I thought . . . The story was almost as dreamy as the cover. This was just a fun read. Complete with two romances! To me it wasn't the typical romance kind of story where the couple slowly gets together and then drama tears them apart and then they get back together at the end. Zeke and Julia were a couple during their college years. Julia broke off their relationship and ended up with Hunter Zeke's nemesis from college Whoa. A bit awkward when they meet again and still have feelings for each other some 5 or so years later. Especially since Julia has a son. As Zeke and Julia both struggle with work related situations. Julia has a brand new business as an event planner. Zeke is managing a resort that's seen better days. Zeke and Julia join forces as Julia plans a wedding for the resort owners that are considering selling Julia struggles with dealing with her son's father Hunter. Who is a piece of work! I had a difficult time with the relationship and character of the father. Mostly because it was too close to home. (Hunter was out of touch with reality and didn't have any parenting skills!) All the while Zeke is struggling with keeping the resorts doors open. Fighting his feelings for Julia. And struggling with his feelings about God. While all this is going on Julia's widowed mother becomes involved with the owner of the resort where Zeke and Julia are working. Someone Like You is filled with not only sweet romance (no bedroom scenes) but struggles with faith, forgiveness and redemption. And there's some humor too. A terrorizing goat named Lady Bug that wrecks havoc for Chet the grizzled old Cow Hand. The pace was steady and the story kept me interested from page one all the way to the end making this a 5 star book! Here's a little about the author . . . Like Victoria Bylin's other contemporaries, Someone Like You really looks at the nitty gritty struggles of following Jesus, especially for new or disillusioned believers., and I love it! Sometimes it’s nice to read about people who never struggle … or who only struggle with “safe sins” like getting angry or saying something you shouldn’t. But honestly? Sometimes that gets boring. Sometimes, I for one need to see people battling with the tough stuff and coming out on the other side in one piece. Maybe not unscarred or unscathed. But they’ve survived and are stronger for it. These are my heroes. And these are the kind of people Victoria Bylin writes about in her contemporary novels. But Someone Like You is not an angsty book, by any means! It’s full of hope that makes you smile and romance that makes you hold your breath and some kisses that might make you reach for your fan. Zeke with Julia’s son Max will melt your heart. Julia’s ex Hunter with their son Max will make you want to hit something… probably Hunter (who reminds me so much of my friend’s ex-husband that I wonder if Victoria knows them lol). The secondary romance involving Julia’s mom is just adorably sweet, and Zeke and Julia are absolutely swoonworthy together! It also has a goat. Ladybug. Don’t let that sweet name fool you. She’s a reprobate of the highest order. A resort terrorizer. A phone eater. A wedding crasher. LOL. Just as an unopened quartz hides its greatest beauty deep within, so it is with us. In our brokenness, Jesus reveals our true beauty and strength. Victoria Bylin wraps this message beautifully and honestly around her latest novel, Someone Like You. The romance between Zeke and Julia – their second chance at loving each other – settled in my heart with a dreamy sigh and a sappy grin, and I even enjoyed the goat lol. A host of secondary characters that add humor and heart, a vivid setting that will make you want to go on vacation ASAP, and one character in particular who will make you grit your teeth against the urge to reach inside the book and strangle him (maybe that was just me?) ensures that all of your emotions will be fully engaged as you read Someone Like You! Victoria Bylin has written a winner with Someone Like You! You will love Zeke Monroe, general manager of the Caliente Springs resort, from the start! You will empathize with single mom, Julia Dare, as she wants what is best for her young son. The older secondary characters of Julia's mother, Ellen, and former singing stars, The Travers Twins, will capture your attention. A goat named Ladybug adds humor to this amazing story of rekindled love and forgiveness. This inspirational book will capture your attention from start to finish. I highly recommend this contemporary romance to others! I received my copy of Someone Like You from the author and Bethany House in exchange for my honest opinion.

Someone Like You is Victoria Bylin’s most recent stand-alone novel, and is only the second novel I have ever read by her. I read Until I Found You a couple of months ago and absolutely loved it, so I was eagerly awaiting this novel’s release. Fortunately for me, I wasn’t at all disappointed. This novel was a wonderfully sweet story that captivated me until the very end, and I’m already dying to read another one of Victoria’s books. I absolutely love her writing style, and her stories are always both interesting and believable. Plus, this one was just really sweet, so I couldn’t help but enjoy it. Julia Dare is such a sweet, kindhearted character, and she is the perfect mother to Max. I also admire her so, so much, mainly for the way she is somehow still Christ-like to Hunter—Max’s dad—even though he is one of the biggest jerks to ever walk this earth. I am amazed at how much self-control she has; I would have slapped that man across the face a long time ago, and it is very inspiring to see how someone can have so much patience with someone so awful to be around. Zeke Monroe is one of the most relatable characters I have ever been introduced to. His burnt-out faith is something so many people raised in the church experience at least once in their lifetime, and his bitterness and difficulty laying down his pride are common struggles for everyone. Still, he remained one of the kindest, most caring and compassionate men Julia—and I—have ever known, and that says a lot about his character. His affection for Julia and Max is sweet to behold, and I cannot help but love him and the little family he longs to create. All in all, I really, really enjoyed this book, and I cannot imagine giving it anything other than all five bookshelves. I’m definitely a lifelong fan of Victoria’s—if I wasn’t before I am now—and I am eagerly anticipating hearing about another new release sometime in the future. I’m also very glad that I own this book, as I am sure I will enjoy reading it again someday soon. It is a wonderfully sweet novel that I would recommend to anyone, as I am sure they would be bound to enjoy it! Someone Like You is a heartwarming story! Zeke and Julia are former college sweethearts who unexpectedly cross paths again. Although these two have a history, will they be able to enjoy a future together? With likable characters, real-life drama, and sweet romance, Someone Like You is a story of second chances. I delighted in Zeke and Julia’s journey and loved the charm of Caliente Springs. It was a pleasure to visit this picturesque resort and get to know the people (and animals) that live and work there. I must say, Ladybug is an entertaining character who just might deserve a story all her own. ;) Victoria Bylin infuses humor and heart into her novels, and I look forward to reading more! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. All thoughts expressed are my own.

SOMEONE LIKE YOU is a totally wonderful story of faith, forgiveness and family relationships. A stand-alone, it is a story that gripped my attention from page one and didn't release me until I closed the ending pages. SOMEONE LIKE YOU is not at all predictable. I figured how I thought it would end, but the author released that bombshell a third of the way in and I'm like, okay... What will be the black moment? I loved Zeke. Oh my word, he is the stuff book-crushes are made of. I also loved Julia and felt for her as she tried to balance being a single mom, a career, and an overbearing, self-important jerk of an ex-boyfriend who was determined to be in his son's life. (And that is actually a good thing.) The only thing I really didn't like is that the characters drank a beer or two (or stronger drinks) but it wasn't a major thing in this book. More conservative readers are fore-warned. Those who don't have a problem with it won't find it worth mentioning. The characters -- including the goat -- in SOMEONE LIKE YOU became real, living, breathing people, and I was sorry to see this book end. I loved the faith message and how everything played out for the message to be heard. This is the first book I've read by this author, but I will definitely be on the lookout for her other books.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The characters are well-developed and the setting well-described, but there was an intense feeling of anxiety that I felt as I read about Julia's conflicts with her ex, Zeke's struggles with his faith, and the precarious state of the resort. The highlights for me were the rekindling romance between Julia and Zeke as well as some humorous moments involving Ladybug, the resident goat with attitude problems. A secondary romance involving Julia's mother felt distracting and I found myself skimming through those sections. There is a strong theme of God's love getting us through hard times, but I was disappointed that with Zeke's issues of the shame of falling short of perfection, the healing power of repentance and forgiveness through Christ's atonement wasn't brought into the narrative. (Thank you to Litfuse Publicity and Bethany House Publishing for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review)

SOMEONE LIKE YOU was sweet, inspirational, and romantic. It included the togetherness of family, both close and damaged, as well as lovable characters (especially one cute little boy), a spiritual journey for one character, and some sweet romance. An enjoyable read perfect for inspirational romance fans. Let's talk a little about little more about this story... I loved how the main characters run into each other at the beginning of the book. It gave an immediate tension and also let some serious sparks fly. From there the romantic tension continues, as does some non-romantic tension with an ex and pressure for the resort to turn a profit. I loved the humor and the swoon-worthy moments as well as Zeke's struggle with his faith. I did feel things wrapped up maybe a little too perfectly. Zeke, Jules, Ellen, George, and Max were all great characters and easily relatable. I also loved how they interacted, and not just romantically, but also the friendships that were present. There were several other characters who had various roles, such as Chet who was real fun, and then Hunter who was the exact opposite. It's definitely these characters, as well as the romance, that made this such an enjoyable read. Here's one inspirational quote that I couldn't agree more with: "Some changes take a long time, but others are instant. One minute you're standing on your own two feet, and the next you're on your face in the dirt. Getting up takes a lot more time than falling down." In the end, was it what I wished for? For the most part, yes. I loved the characters, romance, humor, and inspirational aspects and would definitely recommend this one to readers who enjoy the genre. Content: Some references to prior indiscretions, but clean. Source: Received a complimentary ARC from the publisher through Litfuse Publicity, which did not affect my review in any way.

I found that when I started Someone Like You, I had a hard time setting it down! The author did such a good job of writing a story containing main characters who felt so very real. Zeke and Julia were characters who I immediately connected with. They had a rough history full of love, loss, and pain. Seeing them come together through their work, and Zeke’s caring attitude for Julia and her son, was heartwarming. Things were not simple for these two. There were some major issues and complications that Zeke and Julia had to work through. I was impressed with the way the author handled Zeke’s crisis of faith which he had been living through for years. It was raw and real and not sugar-coated. The setting of the Caliente Springs resort was a wonderful place. It felt vivid and like an actual place to me. And I loved the storyline that Julia’s mother, Ellen, was part of. The beautiful setting, complex characters, and new chance at love was tied up in a beautiful bow in the epilogue, which actually gave me a chill as I read it. I absolutely loved this story! Who hasn't stopped and wondered about someone we loved a long time ago, but due to issues we simply parted ways. Perhaps it was a high school sweetheart or a college romance that lost its luster, but deep in the heart, you always wonder what if? Zeke Monroe is the general manager at Caliente Springs resort that is trying hard to stay afloat among the drought ravishing the property in California among other things. Co-owned by the Travers twins Ginger and George, if something doesn't turn around soon, Ginger wants to sell the property and get out from the debt she senses maybe coming. For Zeke this isn't about simply selling and hoping that the new owners might keep the 200 employees on board, but this may in fact be 200 people whose livelihoods he has taken personal interest in. It is what has made him such a success and well loved and respected by those who work for him. Zeke knows that if Ginger gives him half a chance, he can bring this resort back to life. His one big hope is that Carter Home Goods might decide to use his resort as their vacation and training headquarters which will be a huge start. But it all rides on the meeting scheduled with Julia Dare. Julia Dare is working with Carter Home Goods while trying to get her own company Dare to Dream off the ground as an event coordinator. Carter Home Goods has hired her to spend a few days checking out resorts that they offer as vacation perks to their employees and families throughout the year. If Julia loves them, Mr. and Mrs. Carter will spend a few days checking out her final pick. Julia had arranged to meet Ashley Tate for the final tour. She just didn't expect to meet Zeke Monroe, her old flame from Berkeley instead. They kind of parted ways in college and while Julia failed to give Zeke any details, she knew one thing for certain, the faith he shared with her back in college was the reason she walked away. But since finding it on her own, is there an opportunity for a second chance? Now the only thing standing in her way in her son, Max and his father Hunter, Zeke's old college rival. I received Someone Like You by Victoria Bylin compliments of Bethany House Publishers and Litfuse Publicity for my honest review. I did not receive any monetary compensation aside from a free copy of the novel for my honest and personal evaluation. I really loved the premise behind this novel. Old college sweethearts who find themselves working to pull off the wedding of a century with only 30 days to make it happen. You know things are going to get interesting when you add in a college rival bad boy and of course Julia's precocious son Max. There are bound to be sparks flying in all kinds of directions and the best part of all is love is the reward in the end, but it might just surprise you with whom! I'd rate this one a 5 out of 5 stars because to sit down and inhale it all in one sitting is a sign of a great novel in my opinion.

This book was my first time to ever read this author, and I am so happy I was included in this book tour! I loved the story, it made me laugh out loud and cry. (That is always my measure of a good book) Ms. Bylin's writing style is very good, her imagery made me want to visit Caliente Springs resort. I was very intrigued by what seemed to be a role reversal in the story. (not saying any more, you will figure it out if you read the book) Favorite character is a tie between George and Chet. Least favorite character, Hunter. Very dislikable, the power of the writer to create characters like Hunter is a gift for Ms. Bylin. 4.5 stars from this reviewer. First off, I don’t think there was one thing I didn’t like about this book!! The author deals with some seriously hard issues in life that even Christians have to live through in spite of following the Lord; and she does it with the grace I so appreciate in a book like this. After all, we live in a fallen world! I fell in love with the characters, even Ladybug, the goat with a penchant for causing trouble! Zeke Monroe & Julia Dare have a past history as college sweethearts. Each have made mistakes they’d sooner than later wish to forget. When they are thrown back together years later, roles are reversed and plans are skewed. Zeke was the strong Godly Christian man who’s now lost his faith & Julia once scoffed his beliefs only years later to come to give her heart to Christ. As a new Christian, she struggles to live up to her new faith and learn more of how to walk as a woman of God. She only wishes to be a good example to her young son and raise him the right way in spite of his very worldly dad (Hunter). For his part, he’s selfish, arrogant, manipulative, head-strong and thinks he’s never to blame for problems in his life. I think like every other reader of this book, I did not like him one bit! In spite of all this, Julia remains strong and stands up to him on more than one occasion. As for Zeke, he’s struggling to bring Caliente Springs resort enough business to keep the doors open. He’s the General Manager and can’t imagine living any other life. He enjoys each aspect of the job and managing a competent crew of many people to run the property. His past mistakes have taken him far from the God he once served with his whole heart. With regrets when it comes to Julia, he’s reluctant to open his heart to her again, not wanting to repeat the reason for his fall. Can God break through the barriers they’ve each put up & bring a resolution? The whole secondary cast of characters were a delightful addition to all the layers of this story. Julia’s mom, Ellen and her 4-year-old son Max; George & Ginger Travers “the Travers Twins” ex-singing duo and co-owners of Caliente Springs resort; Tiff & Daniel the young couple putting their wedding on at the resort; and each of the workers who are devoted to their jobs. The setting for this book made me want to visit such a place! I also understood the struggle of Zeke as a manager, for my husband was also one, the author brought the realism of the job to life. I laughed, cried and cheered along with everyone and was reminded how our lives don’t always turn out the way we want it, but that God has complete control & He works out things in His timing and way. We just need to trust Him! **I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest review which I have given here. Thank you Victoria for a delightful read full of redemption, forgiveness, humor and the love of God for each of us! I look forward to more books written by you!**

She liked Zeke and even joined the campus Bible group. When her dad died, she no longer wanted to hear about God. And she was done with Zeke preaching at her. Six years later. Julia is a Christian, thanks to seeds Zeke planted. Zeke has lost his faith. They find each other unexpectedly when Julia is looking at the resort he runs for a client in her business Dare to Dream. Old embers are still there, but their secrets could douse them out for good. This story is so real life and a real page turner. As with all of this author's books, I really loved it. There are some really great secondary characters. And Ladybug... **Received through Bethany House on behalf of author for an honest review
