'All is safe with a lady engaged no harm can be done.' This quote by Jane Austen opens Something Borrowed, Something Blue, but for Abigail Elizabeth Duncan nothing could be further from the truth. From the very beginning when Abby's doting boyfriend buys her the antique aquamarine ring she wants for their engagement, a strange element of violence creeps in. The murder of a young woman she never knew invades her dreams and Abby finds herself entangled in a mystery that will claim her own life if she cannot solve it in time. Author Sandy Henry has combined the bright mundane of everyday life with the darkness that can lie in the human soul and the combination is a disturbing one. If you enjoy the eerie, you are going to love this book!

Sandy Henry¿s book, ¿Something Borrowed, Something Blue¿ is a book you won¿t want to put down. From the front cover to the last page she will have you sitting at the edge of your seating. Just as you think you have it all figured out Sandy throws in another twist. It was especially nice to me hearing of the places she referenced in Pittsburgh. You felt you were there watching it on the big screen, the way she described everything...down to the last detail. I am can¿t wait for her next book!

Romance, murder, suspense and comic relief. Sandy Henry's infectious personality and raw talent shines through in Something Borrowed, Something Blue. Just when I thought I had all the answers, I was pleasantly surprised to discover yet another inventive twist. From cover to rapidly-reached cover, this book is compulsively readable, tensely paced and thoroughly absorbing. Henry's clean, clear style is masterfully rendered and makes this one book you won't want to put down. I'm anxiously awaiting this talented new author's next masterpiece!

Sandy Henry's book, 'Something Borrowed, Something Blue' is the perfect summer reading book! When main character, Abby Duncan gets an antique ring for her engagement, she starts to have weird dreams about another woman's murder. That's when she meets police detective Valen Enscoe, a cop that reopens the old case and finds out that Abby has details of the murder investigation no one else knew. Abby becomes more deeply involved in the case, and that's when the murderer goes after her. Things get pretty creepy really fast, but the real fun comes from reading about the characters and their quirky charms. The book has a light breezy quality and just a hint of a comic tone. You laugh on one page and then gasp on the next! It's a joy to read, and I couldn't put it down!
