Overview

[Siren Classic: Erotic Contemporary Romance, HEA] Tristan Holloway is in desperate need of a roommate. When Kash Alexander comes into her life, she doesn’t expect to have a roomie that towers over everyone else, is covered in tattoos and pierced, and has perpetual scuffed-up knuckles. But there is something dark and deadly that lurks below the surface that makes up Kash, and she is drawn to him. When she stumbles upon an underground cage fight, the last person she expects to see is Kash, especially within the cage. The way he fights, dirty and raw, should have Tristan running the other way, but instead she finds herself enthralled. As if that one night sets into motion everything else, Tristan finds herself involved with Kash in every way possible. The only problem? Kash isn’t interested in a relationship. With a battered past that haunts him, and a future that threatens Tristan’s life, the only way they can overcome it all is together. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

Ok, this book never got put on my currently reading shelf. It wasn't because I forgot, or it wasn't good enough for it. Nope. See, I bought the book, started reading it, and--three hours later--you get my point right? This book was SO HOT! I don't want to just say that because then I would be putting down the writing skills of the author. I'm not a really big fan of fighting, boxing, wrestling, or anything in that genre of sports. I see books when that theme and kind of run in the other direction. Then there are books with men so rugged and raw--just by the blurb I know I will love the holy living daylights out of them! That is how Kash came into my life. Oh, Kash! Poor, destroyed, sexy man beast, Kash. The moment he comes on to the scene we are inside Tristan's head. I love that because we get her totally clumsy and awkward reactions to this beast of a man that she just wants to fall into. The chemistry was instant. They just really liked each other and you could tell. The tension was so hot I was yelling at my Kindle at 2AM for Kash to get over himself and just DO IT ALREADY! The writing had a great rise and fall so it wasn't too much chaos going on at once. It was paced perfectly! What does this mean? It means I need to read the rest of the books in this series!

Good Fighter Love Story  I  enjoyed this book on many levels but it frustrated me because it could have been excellent if it shook off the constraints of limit page length  and needing be more erotica than erotic romance.  The characters are really compelling, however, what we get of them is very limited. I can't recall her job exactly nor much about her family  background. The hero we get hints that he may have been very abused but we never find out. This is book is like a low budget film in some  ways where it shoots great fights scenes since the hero is an underground fighter, a bar, and the house that they share as roommates while he is in town fighting the circuit. And thats it.  What I have is good but I would have liked more. I will be checking out the rest of the series as the writing is good and reminds me a bit of Cara McKenna in After Hours.
