This book is what made me go out and buy every Jo Beverly book I can get. There is so much good things to say about this book I don't know where to start. Fortitude Ware, what a name, what a hero. Lady Elfled Malloren, what a heroine. What is it about the brooding troubled male that just draws us to them. She dreams of him. He hates her family. Then she finds a way to disguise herself and be with him and he falls for it. Then he finds out who she is and he hates her but can't stop thinking of their one night together. This book is just too good to miss. I have read it three times myself and I still pick it up once in a while to read my favorite parts.

I loved this book so much. Though the ending left much to be desired, I adored the story. Fort has such a presence in the book and Elf is just Elf. As the quirky, impulsive Malloren twin, what more could you expect from your heroine? I knew to expect a great book from jo beverly, but this far exceeded my expectations!!!!!!! It was sheer perfection

I read this book a while ago, I dont like giving stories away and I do if I go into it. So all I will say Walgraves has his hands full. It Has laughing, loving, joking, and ribbing. It is a wonderful book to read. What can I say I like all of Jo Beverley books.

Stalks two fat voles. She leaps on them both simutaniously and kills them both with a bite to their neck. She then leaps off them and chases after a startled squirrel. She catches it and kills it and heads back to camp. - cloverwhisper
