About the Author

Ed A. Murray is the author of the Amazon young adult bestseller SOMEWHERE MORE THAN FREE, BETWEEN TWO SLOPES and IN A NORTHERN TOWN.

Murray was raised in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak, where he first began writing as a child, though he overlooked the craft for dreams of being a professional athlete. Following in his parents' footsteps, he chose to attend the University of Michigan for college, earning his bachelor's degree. While living in Ann Arbor as a student, he decided to write more seriously and began working on his first novel.

As often as possible he travels up north to visit Michigan's stunning northern woods and lakes, just as he did for every summer as a child. An admiration for this landscape has led to him setting much of his writing in northern Michigan.
