Amelie Rose, with a name like poetry and a heart of gold, as her father always said, is a free-spirited photographer who has managed to land a job at one of the top travel magazines in the world. This is both a blessing and a curse since Amelie never stays in one place for long and has refused to commit to anything--ever.
It might seem to the casual observer that these two have almost nothing in common. But fate would disagree. The story chronicles Jack and Amelie's lives from childhood into adulthood, beginning when they meet as then eight- and ten-year-olds at summer camp specifically designed for children who've lost too much.
As fate steps in, and that first summer seals the deal, they come to depend on each other in ways neither of them expected, with each summer bringing them closer than the last. As they come to terms with life and loss, with hanging on and letting go, they'll teach each other that some bonds are meant to last. Together, they will travel the world, meeting in various places where they'll come together, and fall apart, all the while struggling to discern if the other could possibly be the one.
This unlikely love story takes us on an adventure where two people come of age, fall in and out of love, and question the role timing plays in it all.
Their story is proof that neither time nor distance--perhaps not even death--can destroy what love creates.
So it seems the only question left to ask is whether love is enough?
Somewhere With You is the first book in the 'With You' Series. Jack and Amelie's story is continued in Anywhere With You.

About the Author
The Water Trilogy (psychological/domestic/romantic thriller) follows the shady love story of unconventional married couple- he's an assassin-she kills for fun. It has been compared to a crazier version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
The With You series (romantic suspense) is a coming of age, friends to lovers, second chance (plus a few) love story about unlikely friends who travel the world; trying to find themselves, together and apart. It has been compared to Love, Rosie.
Around The Bend, is a heart-pounding standalone (romantic suspense/domestic/psychological thriller), which traces the journey of a well-to-do suburban housewife, and her life as it unravels, thanks to the secrets she keeps. If she were the only one with things she wanted to keep hidden, then maybe it wouldn't have turned out so bad. But she wasn't.

First Love that doesn't give up.. My heart was broken for Jack.. He loves Amelie so much, & I believe Amelie loved him as well, just the timing seemed to always be off! and by the time that everything was falling into place, something else would come up to.. Life just did not seem to want to give them a break! Life is a journey, what better way than to have your best friend right there with you, along for the ride? I would really like to see a continuation of this story, whether it be a novella or more books to create a series. ;) I was gifted a copy by the author & Story Cartel in exchange for an honest/unbiased review.
I was given a gifted copy by Story Cartel in exchange for an honest review. Amelie and Jack's story is a love story that goes from childhood to adulthood. It started at a Holidays Camp where the children were sent to cope with the dead of a love relative. At the beginning it was difficult to get into the story but once I did I kept turning the pages till the very end. Sweet sometimes, it made me smile; sad others, it made me cry. Sometimes I was angry with some of the characters (sorry no spoilers here) and it has some twists that kept me trying to guess what was next.
Once again, Britney has written a great book. Much different than her previous, yet just as beautiful and captivating. I look forward to much, much more from her in the future.
I found this book hard to put down as I was captivated from the start! An adventure between Jack and Amelie, two very different people, who meet as children and weave in and out of each others lives. The story is full of twists and turns throughout that will make you smile and at times make you cry. Theirs is a journey of self discovery and unlikely love, This is one book you don't want to miss out on. Received copy for review
Somewhere With You by Britney King 4 out of 5 stars Jack and Amelie meet at the age 10 and 8 when they are campers at Camp Hope; a camp for children who have lost a parent. They see each other at camp every summer for years and become friends, each other's fiercest champions, and eventually they become lovers. Their love story continues as they go on with their lives. Jack is a successful business man and Amelie is a photographer that travels the world. They come together only to be torn apart time after time. As they keep tabs on each other, they break each other's hearts, and waste time with the wrong people. Will they ever get it right? I liked this story and I liked the characters, although I will admit I liked Jack more than Amelie. He seemed more committed to their love than she did. I would recommend this book. It was a quick read that felt like a short vacation. Susan, My Secret Book Spot
Seldom do you find love stories as close to reality as this one. Our two characters have been friends since childhood. Their two personalities are as distinct and different as they can be. Yet, there is an attraction and a need to protect each other that is the foundation, and sometimes downfall, of this love affair. The journey they both take into adulthood has them moving in opposite directions. I wondered if their love would ever be possible. It is like opposites occasionally merging in the middle, only to be separated again and again. This was an emotional and illuminating book. It touched my heart to read this and realize that just like in real life, we end up prioritizing the wrong things. It takes a lot of maturity to change course in adulthood and re-prioritize your sense of values in order to find true happiness.
